SmackDown Attempts to Make Something Out of Nothing for Survivor Series-War Games....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Well, I hope. There’s not all that much going on in the wrestling world today but there are a few tidbits we can chat about. Let’s get into it, shall we?   We’ll start with AEW as the news that grabbed me concerns MJF. Sounds like he slated himself to be one of the “great ones” as he feels he’s on pace to be on the same level of a John Cena or Hulk Hogan, mainly because of the response he can get from the crowd. I will give him that he’s an interesting phenom but he has yet to reach those levels of greatness. Only time will tell there but I don’t doubt he’ll make a great impression on the industry. However, he should note that anyone who says they’ll be “bigger than The Beatles” tends to never be. Let history be the determining factor.   In the WWE Universe, it sounds like Survivor Series has to come up with a Plan B due to Kevin Owens’ injury. He was scheduled for action this week but as we can all see, that’s not happening so we’ll see who ge

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts! Hope it is treating you well. So, this week opens kind of tamely as there isn’t much to chat about. There are a few blurbs I could comment on but I don’t really have anything to get in depth for so let’s just keep this short and sweet, shall we? So, first item of note is that Kevin Owens injured his knee at a recent house show. We haven’t seen all that much of Owens but it’s always a shame when he’s laid up. Mess as he is out there, he does get the gig. Let’s wish him a swift recovery. In other news, be sure to pat Drew Gulak on the back if you see him. Word is that he’s the one who got Logan Paul into wrestling shape for Crown Jewel. Yes, Shawn Michaels threw his 2¢ in but it's sounding like that was more for show. I don’t know if Gulak will do much on-screen but whatever he can do behind the scenes is much appreciated. He shouldn’t feel bad. It’s a popularity contest for the most part when it comes to the WWE. That’s why I always suggest people view i

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Anything interesting to report? Well, there are a few things going on in the wrestling world but nothing too earth shattering. Shall we have a little chat about it? The first bit of business concerns the world at large for the most part as one of ours may be on The Masked Singer. There’s a lot of social media speculation that Chris Jericho is “The Bride”. I have to say after seeing the clip I would have to say that it does sound a lot like him. I wouldn’t be surprised at all. I just wonder how many people know who he is. I’m sure we at home will hear a boisterous crowd when he's revealed but I’m not sure if Jericho is a household name outside the wrestling community. I’d be surprised if anyone guesses it’s him. In other news, CM Punk returned to television for a Tampa MMA promotion. He served as one of the commentators and looked fresh and personable. Imagine that. Little time off to reflect seems to have properly reset him. He also made a little fu

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s a rainy Monday in Los Angeles but as you probably know, we can’t exactly complain as drought-stricken as we are. We have a 48-72 hour storm upon us. I’ve just seen solid sprinkling. Not so much a full on shower but the ground is wet so that is something. In any case, we had the Crown Jewel PLE and it wasn’t a bad time. It’s always weird to be up at 9am on a Saturday for wrestling but it allowed me to have a full day. They didn’t waste much time and got right to business with Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley. They allowed Lesnar to save face with him suffering an “injury”. Regardless, he managed to get the win only to have Lashley have a hissyfit in response. Not sure if that’s supposed to indicate a Heel Turn or not but it made it hard to root for him so, I hope there is a method to the madness.  I felt Bayley’s and Bianca Belair’s Last Woman Standing Match deserves some discussion as Bayley became a sort of cartoon villain by trying to toss anything s

Can't have them out there dead on their feet (^_~) How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Looks like I get to stay in town this weekend so I’ll be around for the SmackDown festivities tonight and will be watching Crown Jewel live tomorrow morning. It’s a 9am call for us on the West Coast. I should sleep in but might as well get this crossed off for that day. In the meantime, let’s chat a bit about what’s going on. There are few things of interest happening. The first matter of interest is that Becky Lynch has been tapped to play Cyndi Lauper on Young Rock . I have no problem with Becky Lynch but being someone who remembers Cyndi Lauper, I’m not sure if she’s a good fit. Can Lynch even do the New York accent Lauper rocks? Lauper did a great job of understanding what the assignment was out there. I think Lynch can talk the shit but Lauper is such a unique individual, I’m just not sure she can do her justice but we’ll see. Hope she has fun with it. It’s kind of necessary. In other news, Randy

A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts! How’s everything going? Well, I hope. I know it’s Halloween but who’s really going out on a Monday night? I am looking forward to the evening’s festivities, though. Curious to see how WWE will celebrate the occasion.  Before we get to that, we have some news to chat about. We’ll start with the heavier fare as Carmella has revealed that we haven’t seen her in a while due to her recovery from a miscarriage, among other things. My condolences go out to her. Solace can be taken in the fact that the pregnancy was ectopic meaning it wasn’t viable from the get-go but it’s a devastating event to suffer through and I hope for her full recovery and return.  In lighter news, both AEW and WWE had to contend with lower ratings last Friday due to the World Series taking importance. It happens at about this time so it should have been expected. SmackDown was pushed to FS1 and many fans either didn’t have access or didn’t get the notice on the channel change. Sinc

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   I hope all is going well. There are some things going on in the wrestling world but I’ve found a few that caught my interest. Let’s see what’s been going on this week.   So, we have another “chapter” in the CM Punk miniseries. Apparently, even his dog got a piece of the action backstage in the All Out brawl. That just made me laugh so naturally, I’m not buying it but it goes to show how he should roll with this punch…no pun intended. Humor is the way out of this pickle. I think he should play along with his “bad attitude” and angle to make it comedic gold. You always know you can get a headache and a laugh with CM Punk around. I never thought this was all that real to begin with but this kinda confirms my suspicions. People just don’t know how to play along anymore. They take everything so seriously. Hope he manages to have fun with it.   In the WWE Universe, we have some branch out news as Liv Morgan got a role on USA’s Chucky . I didn’t see he

How Are You Doing, Enthusiasts?   We don’t have a lot to chat about today. A lot of what’s going around I’ve already talked about but there are some things we can touch on. Let’s get to it, shall we?   Well, let’s start with the bad news. Kevin Nash has suffered the loss of his son, Tristen. The story is tragic. The poor man was suffering from alcoholism to such an extent that in an attempt to go “cold turkey” and simply stop drinking alcohol resulted in a withdrawal induced seizure which led to cardiac arrest. That is unfortunate because that means Nash’s son was a heavy drinker. It’s even more tragic that he was trying to correct his path. My sincere condolences to the family.   In lighter news, both AEW and WWE took ratings hits on Friday. With Baseball in post season, there is more “important” sports entertainment going on. As you probably noticed, I managed to catch up with SmackDown on Saturday and I may be doing that for a time. Though this next week has the World

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   The past couple weeks have been kinda lackluster but this week seems to have some action to talk about. Shall we take that crack at it?   So, let’s start with AEW. There’s some good news as many know Hangman Page suffered a concussion on this week’s Tuesday night showing of Dynamite in his match against Jon Moxley. Reports state that he is on the mend which is always good to hear. I can only imagine this may have jolted Mox in very personal ways. We don’t hear about him doing much harm to anyone other than himself so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s working through some guilt. As everyone knows, accidents do happen. He just has to check himself and learn the lesson.   Also, in AEW news, there’s word that there are negotiations for CM Punk’s contract buyout. On top of that, there are rumors that Triple H is not opposed to taking him back. Didn’t I say that should probably happen 😉 In the event that it does, I think the reacquisition should be

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts.   Another week another dollar.   So, there’s not that much going on in the wrestling world but there are few things to chat about. Let’s not waste any time, shall we.   We had Bray Wyatt’s return last week and I appreciated his emotional statement. It is certain he is not the same man who left the WWE Universe but that doesn’t mean he has distanced himself from the bizarre and macabre. That’s fine. All I’ll be saying is remember what didn’t work last time.   In other news, Triple H tested positive for COVID so we probably won’t be hearing much about him this week. Hopefully, there are no symptoms. Naturally, we humbly await his return.   Some more promising news is that Cody Rhodes is recovering nicely and may be ahead of schedule. We’ll see if that results in a surprise return at Survivor Series or the Royal Rumble.   Speaking of PPVs/PLEs, the 2023 Day 1 PLE has been canceled leaving December 2022 PPV-less. Perhaps they could revamp Clas
