RAW's Halloween Goes Home for Crown Jewel...

A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts!

How’s everything going? Well, I hope. I know it’s Halloween but who’s really going out on a Monday night? I am looking forward to the evening’s festivities, though. Curious to see how WWE will celebrate the occasion.

Before we get to that, we have some news to chat about. We’ll start with the heavier fare as Carmella has revealed that we haven’t seen her in a while due to her recovery from a miscarriage, among other things. My condolences go out to her. Solace can be taken in the fact that the pregnancy was ectopic meaning it wasn’t viable from the get-go but it’s a devastating event to suffer through and I hope for her full recovery and return.

In lighter news, both AEW and WWE had to contend with lower ratings last Friday due to the World Series taking importance. It happens at about this time so it should have been expected. SmackDown was pushed to FS1 and many fans either didn’t have access or didn’t get the notice on the channel change. Since I had business, I caught up on Saturday and funny enough, my Twitter numbers did better than when I was watching RAW West Coast live. This makes me think that this show was low on the priority list in general. C’est la vie.

Some kinda big news is that Shinsuke Nakamura has been granted permission to face the Great Muta in Japan to open next year. This is a big deal because WWE is known for frowning on cross-promotional affairs but with Vince McMahon in retirement, Triple H is showing that he is far more open-minded in this regard. This is supposed to commemorate the Great Muta’s retirement and should be a respectable draw. I’m not going to pay for this event but I’m glad Nakamura is being given the opportunity. He is a fine performer and shouldn’t be left sitting backstage or at home. Let him get some more exposure.

Speaking of exposure, Xavier Woods showed off his smarts over on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. It appears he raised over $96,000 for his charity, Gamers Outreach which supports hospitalized children with video games. You see, pro-wrestlers aren’t just a bunch of jacked dummies. Some of them are well-educated and socially conscious. Someone pat Woods on the back for his contribution.

We’ll wrap up the current events with a little side info as word is that though CM Punk may be parting ways with AEW, no official talks have been had with WWE in regards to bringing him back. If I were them, I would wait until next year. Let some of the bad press blowover. See if the humble pie was digested then put out some feelers. Pitch some salvage angles, see if he’s agreeable…you know for Punk. I don’t think they shouldn’t discuss it but naturally, it has to work for both parties. We’ll see what happens.

And so, that brings us to tonight’s RAW. It’s Go-Home for Crown Jewel so that means both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will be in attendance though, doing what remains to be seen. A revamped Nikki Cross will face Bianca Belair on principle. And Matt Riddle and Otis will honor Halloween with a Trick or Street Fight. If you decide to stay in, feel free to try your hand at conjuring a funny for review. Good ones get retweeted. Great ones get Liked and retweeted. Don’t try to force it. Let the brilliance flow.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
