Crown Jewel Is Over! - The Fallout? - War Games & Survivor Series...

 How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

It’s a rainy Monday in Los Angeles but as you probably know, we can’t exactly complain as drought-stricken as we are. We have a 48-72 hour storm upon us. I’ve just seen solid sprinkling. Not so much a full on shower but the ground is wet so that is something.

In any case, we had the Crown Jewel PLE and it wasn’t a bad time. It’s always weird to be up at 9am on a Saturday for wrestling but it allowed me to have a full day. They didn’t waste much time and got right to business with Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley. They allowed Lesnar to save face with him suffering an “injury”. Regardless, he managed to get the win only to have Lashley have a hissyfit in response. Not sure if that’s supposed to indicate a Heel Turn or not but it made it hard to root for him so, I hope there is a method to the madness.

I felt Bayley’s and Bianca Belair’s Last Woman Standing Match deserves some discussion as Bayley became a sort of cartoon villain by trying to toss anything she could think of at Belair. I thought the golf cart was a nice touch. It looked like she had a lot of fun and Belair was a good sport. It’s generally best to go nuts and let loose with this stuff. It is ridiculous when you think about it so might as well lean into it so it’s clear it’s not really serious. They nailed the assignment.

Nevertheless, the main event did not disappoint. Though both Jake and Logan Paul have some tinges of cringe, they both seemed enthusiastic out there and went out ready to scrap.  Roman Reigns seems to be understanding what it is to be a Heel Champ and was punk ass in his own ways but the match remained competitive and naturally deteriorated into a bit of madness when The Usos ran out to assist as they tend to. Solo Sikoa also ran enforcement as he’s been instructed to do. I wouldn’t say the match was close, especially with the news the Logan Paul busted up his knee in the process but Logan did show off his athleticism to counter Reigns’ “meat and potatoes” style. Yet, it just wasn’t enough. I would have been fine if Reigns was rougher with Logan but seeing how he came out of it injured, I guess Reigns did enough.

No matter what anyone thinks, Reigns and Paul got match of the night. Some people would beg to differ but the general consensus does go in their favor so mission accomplished. Now, we switch focus on to War Games/Survivor Series. It look likes this will be a joint effort with NXT so we’ll see how that goes over. We can look forward to that after Thanksgiving. It’s hard to call given the holiday. People may be distracted by family and friends or need something to do with them. We shall see.

So, for tonight’s RAW we have the Crown Jewel Fallout. So far, all that’s being advertised is Bobby Lashley, Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match for some reason. Other than that, we can expect people strutting and basking in their victory or sore losers plotting their next vindictive move. This is how the WWE Universe works. If it doesn’t do anything for you, you know where the door is. We’ll see if NXT-ers start popping up so we can get more familiar with them. I won’t start to watch Minor Leagues but I am open to getting to know who’s coming down the pike. Let’s see if they can make this interesting. We are a finicky bunch. If you are still hanging in there with Twitter, feel free to toss out any funnies that come to mind. If it’s gold it’ll get a retweet or a Like and retweet. It all depends how good it is. Don't try too hard.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
