RAW Puts on the Primer for Survivor Series...

Image
Happy Thanksgiving Week, Enthusiasts!   How’s everyone doing? We have Survivor Series to look forward to at the end of the week and RAW and SmackDown are doing their jobs to place the final pieces. Regardless, other things have been happening in the wrestling world. Let’s have a brief chat about it before circling back around.   So, there have been some acquisitions in the Realm of AEW. It appears Ronda Rousey is serious about a professional wrestling career and has decided to earn her chops in Ring of Honor. This I find commendable because I wasn’t really sure what Rousey was doing in WWE outside of the novelty of it but given how the Crowd is tough and not everyone was always interested, I wouldn’t be surprised if the experience was somewhat humbling.   She should get the ring-time that she needs to get up to speed and may even get more comfortable on the mic. I’m glad to see she wants to do this right and so, I wish her nothing but the best. I don’t know if she returns t

SmackDown Sticks to the Survivor Series Assignment...

How’s Everyone Doing?   This a good Friday night for you? Oy, work has got me working all day long. I barely get any breaks. Not sure how to feel about it. The job security is nice but yeesh, I like being able to coast you know. I love jobs where you can do other things to fill the time. Not me, at the moment . Well, there are greater travesties in the world. Let’s look at what’s going on in wrestling, shall we.     Well, Becky Lynch, bless her heart, tried her hand at Celebrity Jeopardy and unfortunately demonstrated why she’s in wrestling. Apparently, she earned the unfortunate distinction of one of the worst showings by not getting 1 answer right. I’m sure she’s tops in a lot of other things but general knowledge is not one of them. ‘Tis the crux of the athletic life. Jocks aren’t known for their smarts. Doesn’t mean they don’t have any just not exactly encouraged to develop the book variety. We’ll see if she’s prompted to read more books. She got the ratings jump,

RAW Only Has Eyes for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying your start to the week? My day was kinda busy. Didn’t have much of a moment to myself. That’s why it’s nice to unwind with some wrestling at the end of the day. I’ll be honest, I don’t have that much to chat about but there are few things I’d like to touch on. Let’s get to it, shall we.   First up, it appears Logan Paul is taking all the hints and has decided to leave boxing to his brother as he is a full-time “wrestler” now. I noticed he’s taking being the US Champion quite…intently. There are shots of him bathing with the belt floating around. And it appears that they are setting him up for a showdown with LA Knight, which sounds about right. Let’s just hope that Knight sterilizes that thing in the event he takes it off Paul. I think everyone is kinda hoping for that some time soon. I’ll be watching.   The only other talking point that I have is that Jimmy Uso is out “cruisin’ for a bruisin’” as he has started to low-key “mock” Roma

SmackDown Fallout - Crown Jewel V (2023)

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts! Is this a good Friday for you? I’ve had better but I’ve also had worse so the complaints will be minimal. So, there are few morsels to dance on the palette today. Let’s see how they sit. The first bit of business is a hearty CONGRATULATIONS to Carmella and Corey Graves for welcoming their first child, a beautiful baby boy! What really stands out is that it took Carmella 60 hours of labor to achieve the feat. Good God, girl! Nevertheless, the new, happy family are doing well and I’m sure Carmella will be resting for the rest of the year. Enjoy the blessed early Christmas present.  In other news, there are reports that The Rock a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson has been approached by a few factions about running for president. Oi, given recent years and with Donald Trump hovering around the docket, I’m not sure this is a good idea. It just makes America more like Idiocracy if we go through with it, especially if he does so with no real experience in the political arena

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Did you get a chance to watch Crown Jewel? I thought it was fun. It was far more cohesive than previous shows and definitely felt less like an exhibition and more like a typical PLE/PPV, which I would call progress.  Most are saying that Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins was the match of the night. I think Sami Zayn stealing the MITB Briefcase at the end was what I liked about it but, to be honest, I preferred the main event. All the buzz with LA Knight and Roman Reigns made it an enjoyable way to end the night and both gentlemen appeared to have fun with it, which is always nice to see.  I would say that any LA Knight fans should calm themselves and prepare for a showdown with Logan Paul. Taking the US Title off of him I think is a good start for Knight. Though Paul is holding his own out there, he’s playing a dorky heel and those are perfect pickings for the likes of Knight. No one would mind that Title change and Knight officially gets on the map. Everyo

Crown Jewel V - Matches of Interest

How’s It Going Enthusiasts?   It’s Crown Jewel V and it appears that everyone got there just fine. Let’s wish them safe travels back as well. So, I try to keep it simple nowadays. This event has gained more traction but it is still an exhibition, more or less. That said, here are my matches of interest.   I’ll start with the Ladies’ Fatal-5-Way. This is an interesting match because all these ladies have something to prove one way or another. Given the nature of things, Rhea Ripley retaining is the easy out. Yet, if I were to surprise, I would give it to Shayna Baszler. She’s gotten a raw deal in recent years and doesn’t really deserve it. She should be a valid contender even though she’s not the ideal “representative of the company”.   I like Zoey Stark but I feel she’s just too new. Raquel Rodriguez simply isn’t there yet and I’m not sure when that happens. There’s something not quite clicking. She has to embrace her persona, whoever that is, and that conundrum is holding

Everybody Went Home But SmackDown Left Us a Message Before Crown Jewel...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! Glad to see the end of the week. Not looking forward to Daylight Savings but preparing for it. Just hate how I have to get up earlier on weekends to make sure I get some sunlight. I never got why it was dark at 4:30pm. Yet in the summer, you have until like 7pm to play. I appreciate the extra hour but hate the lack of daytime. In any case, there are a few things to chat about. Nothing too earth shattering but something to bat around. Shall we? We’ll start in the Realm of AEW as it has been reported that Ric Flair’s deal with the company is a multi-year deal and apparently he’s cleared to take bumps but it’s unlikely that will actually happen. With Flair 74 going on a 110 years old, I could only think that him taking a bump would be akin to elder abuse. Reports state that he is ready and willing but not sure anyone else really is. We’ll see how this plays out. In the WWE Universe, Bianca Belair and Montez Ford have something to celebrate as they will have thei
