Champions Clashed! Now, RAW Has to Build this Cell to Have Some Hell In...

Greetings Enthusiasts!

How are you feeling this Monday?  Didn’t play too hard over the weekend? Well, it’s all right if you did.  That’s why we use Monday to get back into the swing of things.  So, tonight on RAW we will witness the Fallout of Clash of Champions and potentially see some decisions reversed as rematches commence.  This is generally what we expect after a PPV.  All those who couldn’t or didn’t watch the show can now sit back and watch it all become mostly null and void.  We had a few title changes last night, one of which being Mr. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler earning the Tag Team titles.  Now, I don’t know where they are going with this since this is just a hodgepodge of a pairing.  I would assume the real tag-teamers may start a bit of ruckus due to the unfair nature of the match in general but this is how it goes in the WWE Universe so I’m not sure what kind of angle they plan to utilize from here.  That’s the main reason I picked them to lose.  Watching Braun Strowman’s and Seth Rollins’ alliance deteriorate I thought would be easier story and television.  Well, I suppose we’ll see what they do with it…if anything at all.

And let’s not forget that with Rollins coming off a “questionable” win, there are plenty of grounds to share dirty looks.  Yet, this really appears to be set-up for a showdown with Bray Wyatt’s “The Fiend”.  He greeted Rollins at the end of the night with a Sister Abigail and with Luke Harper back to active status, we may just get another reunion in the form of the Wyatt Family.  I think it’s a perfect time to reassemble and this faction can avidly “recruit” because it’ll probably look more like members of the roster have been brainwashed as they sip Wyatt Kool-Aid.  There’s a way to do this believably.  No one’s going to believe they’re really under Wyatt’s influence but there can be some sort of “incentive” to joining The Family, be it the support or the intimidation factor.  We’ll let Creative figure out a reason for people to sign-up.  Regardless, I like this development.  Feel there’s a lot of potential.

There wasn’t a clear match of the evening in my opinion though I’ll give some honorable mention to Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch.  Their match was compelling but the no-contest finish made the crowd bristle a bit.  We’re just not buying this anymore.  It’s too obvious that to DQ a match is a Creative decision.  We rather have a winner/loser if this is the case.  Creative is going to have to use their imaginations to conjure up new ways to no-contest a fight.  Expect more general interference and perhaps the occasional “technical difficulties” to crop up so that the WWE can still have it their way.  Also, a secondary honorable mention to Rowan and Roman Reigns for playing their roles well last night.  They had to keep the secret and sell the fight so, good on them.  My only suggestion is that Rowan, though we’re all grateful he has some restraint, should have gone for it a bit more.  You know, really displayed his power by messing up more stuff and roughing up Reigns more.  He can take it.  You could tell at times that Rowan was playing nice.  That’s fine but you gotta sell the fight.  That’s why we’re all yelling and screaming.

Anyway, as for tonight’s RAW, with the fallout we’ll also get the conclusion of the King of the Ring tournament with Baron Corbin facing Chad Gable.  As much as I like Gable being the Little Engine that Could, Corbin winning allows for him to get into the good graces of the Authority and they can give him some faux power to play with.  Making him an instrument of the Authority seems to work with Corbin.  He can playfully be a dick and we can like him for it.  As I said before, without that cover, he’s just a dick.  Hard to get that over.  With the Authority context, we can now tell he’s playing. Yet, if they do allow Gable’s dream to come true, I hope he gets carried away with it.  Hopefully, they can keep it from getting too corny but you know where I’m going.  It all goes to his head, he thinks he has more clout than he actually does.  He has a fun personality, he could probably pull it off.  Also, Bray Wyatt may stalk the halls to remind Seth Rollins that he’s got his sights set on him.  Maybe we’ll get a status check on the “family reunion” too.  We also have an odd segment planned as the Street Profits host Maria Kanellis’ gender reveal party. I’m thinking these guys are going to escort us over to NXT so, I guess we’ll get some insight into how with this bit.  Hope it’s worth it.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, we don’t really have to be stingy but it’s fallout and Hell in a Cell is just a couple weeks away.  They need to show that they have a train of thought that they’re following with this quick turnaround.  If they’re doing their jobs, we should be able to cough up a gem or 2.  Just don’t force it.

See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)

PS: Just noticed we’re in Knoxville, Tennessee this evening.  Think Dad (Kane) might show up? 😉
