RAW Received Some Performance Notes and May Just Listen!....
A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts!
How’d the weekend treat you? Fine, I hope.
And if not, let us hope that this week’s festivities brighten your
mood. So, we have Go-Home Show action
for RAW this week as we get geared up
for Clash of Champions. The interesting
question that I’ve seen floating around the social medias is whether Braun
Strowman would make a good titleholder and I can’t say I’m opposed to it but
the thing about a Braun Strowman is that he’s a “Monster Among Men”. It’s kind of like having the big bully of the
block run the neighborhood. Not that he’s
a bully per se, but he’s so formidable that it’s hard to say who would take it
off of him. With Rowan now making a push
for some credibility, he could potentially challenge but what I’m really
getting at is that the WWE could kinda handcuff themselves by making the whole
thing too real. Who can feasibly face
these guys? Would you buy a match up against the likes of a Ricochet or a Daniel Bryan? Even a Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns seems
doubtful if we’re just going by the size of people. It would almost prompt a need for a new
division like the Super Heavyweights or something. It would make for an interesting dynamic but
I’m not sure if that’s really the direction they’re angling for but if they don’t
handle this well, they may just give themselves this conundrum to consider. They got away with it with Big Show and to a
lesser degree Andre the Giant but nowadays, we can see these guys and find
their stats and actually see if anyone on the roster could serve as a fair
opponent. The only thing that counters
size is skill and/or intelligence and I’m just not sure who’s actually that talented. Perhaps one day, we’ll see.
As for tonight’s action the
information is sparse. Naturally, the semifinal Triple Threat match has to be had for King
of the Ring. Ricochet, Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin will triangle-off and make this interesting. Also, somewhere in all this “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is scheduled to grace us with his
presence. Looks like there’s a bit of
back scratching going on as Austin helps bring in some ratings in hopes that
fans will hang out and watch his show after.
To make it credible, he’ll be overseeing the contract signing between
Strowman and Seth Rollins. We’ll see
what madness comes from all that. Funny
tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, we can be persnickety here. There’s a PPV on Sunday and we want to feel
excited for it. Their content is what’s
supposed to do that. Don’t offer
anything up unless you’re especially moved.
Otherwise, sit back and see if this is potentially worth the $10.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole
