Can RAW Save the Day?...
Greetings
Enthusiasts!
Well,
I’m not surprised at how Hell in a Cell ended but I will say that it is poor timing on
the WWE’s part. Now the question
becomes, do they care? Because if they don’t, I would read that as the company
more or less folding. To pull in new
fans requires quality content and if they refuse to offer it then they
basically make the statement that they refuse to stay in business. I doubt it will go that far but do take note
of how they proceed. We have to now look
to see if WWE Management is operating under some kind of delusion. That's a step passed "out of touch".
Yet,
let us be fair. The main event was the
only real low point of HIAC. Sasha Banks
and Becky Lynch should be very proud of themselves. They came out and set a very respectable tone
and even get to take match of the night.
The Ladies in general delivered as expected and the Men came off too self-involved to care about portraying a clean match, realistic but unprofessional. Perhaps some Management representative should
come through and check this behavior. Not
that the WWE may address it but here’s where they could do themselves a favor
by laying down some believable storyline or “drama” at best. And the WWE can illustrate defiance here by
saying things along the lines of “if you don’t like it, you can leave…” AEW can only accommodate so many.
That
being said, this is also a good time for the WWE to do some minor
restructuring. There’s obviously a
creative issue and they need to sort it out and in the meantime they can save
some cash and start downsizing by playing smaller venues. They made it clear they don’t know how to
get people interested in a storyline anymore so they have no choice but to get
back to basics and focus on what works.
That is if they want to keep the ship afloat. I’m no stranger to the WWE missing the mark,
they’ve been doing that, now the landscape is different. They now can’t afford to attempt to get away
with it. They will lose fans. Can’t be #1, when no one is watching. It will be interesting to see how they clean
up their own mess.
So,
RAW has the martial artist and
Heavyweight Champion, Tyson Fury set to make an appearance. Rumor has it, he’s here to book a match with
Braun Strowman. Lacey Evans gets another
chance to mis-execute a SharpShooter against Natalya. The kicker here being it’s going to be a “Last
Woman Standing” Match so it’ll be about 15min. And I’m sure we’ll either hear a lot of
trumped up banter regarding last night or they’ll do the ballsy thing and go “WTF”
on themselves *gasp* that would be the day.
Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, well from the
sound of it there should be plenty to riff on.
Remember, we respect wit above all.
Keep it funny, not mean.
See
You in a Bit,
