RAW Thinks It Got It! This Could Work....
How’s
It Going, Enthusiasts?
I
got front row seats to a brush fire.
They’re quite common in SoCal. It wasn’t that big. Anyway, we are gathered again tonight to
witness WWE’s RAW offering. As you
probably know, these are some interesting times as rival factions continue to
make their play for wrestling fans. AEW continues
to make strides and I hear that New Japan is making a play for American
markets. That may not take as well
because they tend to “really wrestle”.
Not to say that the matches aren’t still booked and decided beforehand
but the outcomes and matches look actually wrestled and I’m not sure that the
American palate will adapt. People will
either like it or they won’t. We’re used
to more showy displays. They’re almost like Olympic style. We’ll see how it takes.
As
for the WWE Universe, they have to reestablish themselves as leader of the
pack. I think AEW is doing that for the
most part ratings wise yet, WWE has its street-cred to worry about and it
definitely doesn’t like to be viewed as second fiddle. SmackDown was solid last Friday so, RAW has to somehow keep the party
going. From the looks of it, they
initially plan to do that with some more lead-up to Crown Jewel III. Can’t say I know what to expect there but I
doubt it will be too different from their other exhibitions. More than likely what happens there, stays
there. Also, suppose this is a good
place to mention there are some injuries plaguing the roster. Apparently there was a bit of an Australian
tour this past week and word is Erick Rowan and Xavier Woods suffered
injuries. Woods’ sounds the most
serious. We may not see him for a couple
months. Looks like The New Day minus 1
will be on tag team duty until further notice. Don’t think this will disrupt
what’s already planned for Crown Jewel but I guess we now know who not to
expect.
Aside
from that, the Street Profits are going to actually get in the ring as opposed
to playing our boisterous narrators. And
Seth Rollins is going to take a moment to “explain himself”. I really don’t know what that means but we’ll
see if we sit for it. Get a feeling this
will get “Fiendishly Interrupted”, we’ll have to wait and see if that’s a good
thing. Funny tweets get retweeted and as
for Likes/Favorites well, we’re heading into an exhibition in the form of Crown
Jewel so we don’t have to be too exacting but we shouldn’t lie if we’re not
entertained. Aim for constructive
criticism. We’re trying to improve the
product not troll it…unless it’s in good taste 😉
See
You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
