SmackDown Has a Lot to Share on Its Way to Summer Slam...

A Good Friday to You, Enthusiasts!

How’s every little thing?  So, before getting into SmackDown I just want to give a little praise to this week’s RAW for it was one of the more solid shows I’ve seen in some time.  Though the word is that ratings are falling, I would have to say that the content has been improving.  Given the current state of affairs, it’s a little too clear that the WWE simply can’t get away with being sub-par anymore.  There is a distinct attempt to course correct at the moment and I couldn’t be happier about this development.  It always takes a crisis, doesn’t it?  The main event of Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler was stellar and Randy Orton putting the cherry on the top is basically the sort of finish that I hope marks the beginning of a new era.

I don’t expect every night to end that way because that would ruin these sorts of special moments but the shows should have solid finishes of similar caliber.  According to whatever story is being sold, the end of the night should put an exclamation point at the end of it.  Man or woman of the hour should make whatever their statement is so that it’s clear what’s going on here or we know how to get ready for next time.  It’s all very promising.  Have to say, never thought the day would come but Life has a great way of changing a perspective.  Now, let’s see if they don’t mess it up.  In the past, when they found a winner, they’d overuse it to death.  Let’s hope they don’t try to end every night with an RKO out of nowhere.  Wrestlers should certainly finish strong with either a finisher or sabotage as befitting the storyline but if they keep setting up the same pins to get bowled down every time, we’re going to go right back to rolling our eyes.

So, as for tonight’s SmackDown looks like they’ve packed a lot of action into 2 hours as Mandy Rose and Otis make their way back to TV.  Naomi will try to finish what Lacey Evans started.  AJ Styles will give Gran Metalik a chance at stardom as they battle for the Intercontinental Championship and Nikki Cross will take another shot at Bayley and the Women’s Title.  Should be an interesting night.  As usual, funny tweets will get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, let’s see what you come up with.  If you stumble upon genius, it will be Liked and retweeted for all to see.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)

PS: I’ve taken a position doing some writing for The Wrestling Movement.  When I have some insight into a matter I can blather on and on.  Figured I’d see if that could be put to use somewhere.  My first article was posted this week.  Feel free to check it out.  I have been doing this for a minute, might as well see if anything can be made of it.  It’s a solid site for wrestling so, if you like to get some more info or opinions please check TWM out.  ‘Til next time…
