SmackDown Oversees a Bumpy Start to the Future... It Should Have Been Expected...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts.

How’s it going for you? So, this has been an interesting week. Not much to chat about wrestling news wise but there are some things to go over. Let’s get to it.

Well, at the moment the word circulating is that WWE responded to Keith Lee’s claims of paying his own medical bills. The statement was classic corporate response but many are commenting on the fact that a statement was made at all. Times are changing and WWE is getting a lot of bad press for how it treats its employees. Whether they want to or not, they have to change their rep. The best aren’t going to want to work for them if they aren’t the best to work for. Expect changes to WWE’s operation in the near future.

As for AEW press, Tony Khan appears to be putting his foot in it. He probably felt he fielded a question regarding building female wrestling well but the green is showing. An entitled rich guy can’t help but be an entitled rich guy. It’s something he’s going to have to work on if he wants to be taken seriously. We’ll see what happens.

As for AEW itself, I heard good things about their go home show and so, I took a look. It was all right yet there were a few people who stood out. PAC for one made me look good by continuing to demonstrate he's on another level. Hopefully that serves as incentive for WWE to clean up their act. Another one who caught my eye was Wardlow. He didn't impress before but on Dynamite this week he was what WWE probably had in mind for Braun Strowman. Don't be surprised if he starts getting some intriguing phone calls. And finally, Dante Martin. He's too much a kid now but I knew the kid had something. It's pure and that is why he needs to develop in AEW. I'm afraid what WWE would do to him now but once he's more sure of himself, talk will have to be had regarding what's next. Only natural it would be a bigger stage. It starts, enthusiasts. Expect trade-offs to begin. I wouldn't be surprised if it starts to look more like the NFL in the future as they trade wrestlers in big multi-wrestler deals.

Anyway, for tonight we’ll see if WWE gets the interest going for Survivor Series. King Xavier Woods comes over to SmackDown solo since Kofi Kingston is out due to injury. He will face Roman Reigns as we have Big E lined up for him at the PPV. I’m curious to see how they work this but I’ll have an eye on it. As for everything else, we have to wait and see. Early reports are currently inconclusive so, speak up if you hear something first. Funny tweets and Likes get retweeted. It’s not quite Go Home time but it’s next week so they should start to punch things up if they want anyone to care. We’ll see what they think is “exciting”.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
