RAW Takes a Break From BackLash for Randy Orton...

How’s This Monday Treating You, Enthusiasts?

Well, I hope. It is just the start of another week. I won’t presume it’s any more wondrous than the last. So, wrestling-wise there isn’t too much to chat about but enough, I think. I can ramble on about at least 3 topics. How does that sound? Let’s get to it.

So, most of this will revolve around the WWE Universe. Word is that Mustafa Ali may return to TV soon. What makes this interesting is his status with WWE. Having requested his release and being denied, we wonder what he may be made to do and how willing he may be to do it.

I really hope that if this is true, some sort of truce was reached. News like this is never a good look and I don’t know why WWE would like to have news like this being half-way true. I understand being a “Heel Company” but there has to be a cheekiness to that stance. It has to be more comical than credo to live by. Shit like this fuels calls for unionization. Not that it’s happening but you can see how it could be used to support such an argument. To me, this borders on antagonism. You would think there are labor laws it may infringe upon. My thinking is why would you want to bring that sort of attention to yourself. WWE has got to have some major skeletons in its closets. I don’t know why they would want to direct any official eyes towards themselves. Let’s just hope this isn’t as incendiary as it could be.

In more hopeful news, Asuka may return soon also. I think she was out due to injury. What’s going around is that she may be put in a short program with Becky Lynch. That’s fine by me. Asuka gets what the gig is and delivers more often than not so putting her with Lynch should work. It’s not new but it’s been awhile so that should keep the bulk of us from complaining. We’ll see what happens.

To segue into tonight’s action, WWE will be celebrating the 20-Year Anniversary of Randy Orton being in the biz. Say what you will about the Viper, he “vipes” exquisitely and only appears to get better with age. I look forward to singing his praises. No one powerslams better. I’ll always give him that.

And so here we are at tonight’s RAW. Besides the heralding of the greatness that is Randy Orton we will see Omos take on Bobby Lashley in an arm-wrestling contest. That may or may not deteriorate into madness. And Sonya Deville gets a chance at the Women’s Title courtesy of a spunky Bianca Belair. She doesn’t appear to be taking Deville’s shit like previous women. Is this an indication she won’t fall into line? Deville won’t like that. Therein lies potential fun. Funny tweets and Likes get retweeted. Go Home shows don’t start until next week so keep an eye on what they do to keep us interested. The build should be just starting to ramp up.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
