WWE Left Us a Pre-Recorded Show This SmackDown...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!

How’s everything? Well, some news dropped today so, let’s get right into what’s buzzing around.

So, WWE decided to do their NXT releases this week and there are a few surprises. To be honest, I didn’t know who the bulk of them were but I did hear of Dakota Kai and Dexter Lumis along with Parker Boudreaux/Harland. Boudreaux was particularly hyped up ‘cause he was basically the next version of Brock Lesnar. Guess his charisma wasn’t reading.

Well, most are more surprised at Dakota Kai and I can’t really comment. I just know of her. I’m not very familiar with her work so, I’m not particularly gutted by this announcement and honestly, I feel most should view this more matter-of-factly. We all know WWE does their periodic releases. Given how they used to hoard talent it can be argued that this systematic trimming of it is a good thing. True, it’s always sad to hear of someone being let go but we all have to admit that it is a fact of life. We all will probably be laid-off or fired at some point in our professional lives. It happened to me 3 times and that probably won’t be the last of it. Granted, most of those were due to the general economy, all I mean is that this happens. It hurts in the moment but you must always remember life goes on. WWE didn’t choose them this time around, doesn’t mean they’re done. It all depends on how much they want this life.

If you want to put this in a spiritual/astrological context, the timing is interesting. We have a Mercury Retrograde in a little under a couple of weeks and there’s a solar eclipse and new moon this weekend. This will be a time of review and revelations. These new releases will have plenty to consider over the next month or so. Generally, we all will, but as you can see, this time will be particularly pivotal in terms of their life trajectory. I wish them all well but primarily, I hope they are not devastated. Take it as a sign that one has to reconsider one’s direction. Perhaps, previous hopes and dreams were not built on realistic conclusions. It does happen and take note. It’s time to align oneself with what’s grounded in reality.

I think what Ember Moon has divulged about working in NXT hints at this. Women being “consulted” to dress sexier and such. The consensus is this has more to do with John Laurinaitis taking over after Triple H’s medical event. Well, this tends to be a harsh reality many realize upon entering certain sides of the Entertainment Industry. That’s why I always preferred to be behind the scenes. I don’t need the constant focus on my appearance. Not that I mind keeping myself in order it’s just in those sort of atmospheres, one isn’t allowed a bad day. You must be “perfect” all the time because someone will comment on you looking fat and/or tired. It takes a special type.

Throw the WWE Universe into the mix and you have a whole host of other aspects to consider. Not only must you look good and perform well, you have to be popular too. Cesaro is living proof of how talent alone won’t sell you in this Industry. In the WWE Universe, marketability gets you further than in-ring talent. These are things to consider for anyone who has these sorts of dreams.

On a far side note, AEW has similar concerns hovering over them with the WarnerMedia merger in effect. Many wonder if AEW will be retained. This may have also had something to do with Cody Rhodes being released from them. I don’t think AEW is worth canceling but I’m not sure if it’s inline with their “new vision”. That’s where it can get interesting. Again, this is the sort of thing that happens in business so, you have to have a sort of tough skin when it comes to these facts of life. You never know when some deal is going to get done and the trickle down effect gets to you. You just have to know it happens and somehow prepare yourself for the inevitable. AEW will probably find another network if WarnerMedia doesn’t care to keep them but that transition will come with its own repercussions.

On another distant side note, I love how the rumor on Ryback is that he’s short a few marbles. I kinda saw that. Just look at how he talks about anything. He seems to just miss the real point of any subject he’s going on about. Not to mention how he always referred to himself as the “Big Guy” when he wasn’t that big compared to many of his counterparts. And isn’t he like completely ‘roided out? He has the typical physique that lends to that, if you get my drift. Wouldn’t be surprised if that has something to do with it. Now, I know that we should be concerned for his mental health but I’m not sure it’s that sort of issue. It’s more like in the vein of Anti-Vaxxers and such. He’s come to his own conclusions on a lot and the only thing that’s going to correct that is Life. I don’t think he hears anybody. And he who he does listen to, is probably just as questionable as well. I buy this. I think the proof is in the pudding.

Anyway, that clumsily brings us to tonight’s SmackDown festivities. As most of you probably know, WWE is abroad in the UK this week but they should be back Stateside by next week for the Backlash Go-Home Shows. So, tonight’s action is completely pre-recorded. Looks like Ricochet will throw the Intercontinental Championship up against Shanky. Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn will have themselves a Cage Match and Charlotte and Ronda Rousey will have a Beat the Clock Challenge. We’ll see if that goes down. Funny tweets and Likes get retweeted. Let’s see if they left themselves a good place to pick up from. Let’s assume everything on the UK Tour is exhibition.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
