RAW Preps for the Final Touches for the Royal Rumble...
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?
Everything going all
right in your worlds. I hope so for the most part. Let’s try to use this year
to build a better tomorrow and all that. Gotta start somewhere. In any case, there
are some things going on we can talk about. Want to get into it? Let’s.
In the Kingdom of
TNA/Impact the “mystery” acquisition was revealed to be Dolph Ziggler at their
recent PPV. I’m still a little forlorn that he was released but this is
probably his only shot at fronting a promotion which is something he deserves
to pursue. Though his prowess is known, he will never get a shot at the major
titles in WWE as long as the likes of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton
and all those in the same boat are around. This is his chance to be the face of
a company and he should give it his best shot. Perhaps WWE will reacquire him
towards the end of his career, but for now I’ll wish him well in his current
endeavors.
There’s also talk from the
Kingdom of TNA that Naomi/Trinity Fatu may be making a return to WWE. She lost
her match at the TNA PPV fueling the rumors of a return. Naturally, that makes
many of us think that she may be incorporated into the Bloodline. I’d think
that’d be the best route. Given her strained exit, coming back as a baddie with
a chip on the shoulder could track. We’ll see what happens.
As for other wayward,
former WWE stars, Mustafa Ali has made his way over to New Japan. That should
be a better fit for him. As much as I respect Ali, his stature would always
hold him back. Though, Pete “Butch” Dunne and Tyler Bate may be clearing a way
for the smaller competitor that has yet to be fully established and so, Ali should
be able to get a lot of ring time and merit under his belt abroad. I wish
things were different but you have to make sense from the get-go if you’re
going to make it WWE. Guys like that have to prove someone bigger just won’t
shove them into a trash can. It’s not fair but you gotta keep it “real” like that.
That could happen in real time so, why wouldn’t it? That’s the question they’re
always up against.
In the WWE Universe, we have
some hopeful news as word Afa the Wild Samoan was hospitalized recently after
suffering multiple heart attacks while struck with a case of pneumonia. It sounds
dire, I know but word is the Honorable Afa was released from the hospital yesterday
and is on the mend. Of course, we can put Bloodline animosity aside to wish
this living legend well. We never like seeing one of our own suffer. The Gods
are kind to spare him.
We’ll see if this news
gets used in Bloodline story but in the meantime, tonight’s RAW is focused
on giving Jinder Mahal a second chance. I’m all for this but it’s doubtful they
pull the trigger tonight. I expect Seth Rollins to retain. Cody Rhodes gets
opening duties. R-Truth will partner with The Miz to earn his place back into
the Judgment Day. They’ll face Finn Bálor and Damian
Priest. We’ll also welcome GUNTHER back to television from his short hiatus.
Many of us have the day off in the United States so, many
are enjoying the long weekend, myself included. The unofficial watch party will
start at 8pm PST. You’re more than welcome to join in, especially if you’ve got
nothing better to do. It’s that sort of pastime.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
