SmackDown Welcomes 2024 with New Year's Revolution....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

The first week of the year going well for you? I’m not complaining. Definitely have seen worse. As for the Wrestling World, there’s plenty going on but only a small portion concerns me. Let’s chat a bit about the more prevalent news, shall we?

First thing going on is that Charlotte Flair had major knee surgery recently to correct her injury and the event has humbled her given her statement. It has reminded her that she is human and who knows what the future will hold or if she’ll be able to compete at the same caliber again. Let us wish her a quick recovery. That which does not kill us does make us stronger.

In lighter news, it’s apparent that theThe Rock vs. Roman Reigns match is going down this year. The question is when. The obvious move is WrestleMania but there’s a lot of talk of the Elimination Chamber set for Australia, though naysayers don’t think The Rock makes the trip. Personally, I’m leaning towards WrestleMania. It’s a “big deal” kind of match and that’s the biggest deal WWE has to offer. Though a PPV in Australia is also a big deal, WrestleMania is the big deal for WWE and that’s where something like this should go down. We don’t get these often and I don’t know what the future holds so might as well milk it for all it’s worth. If they ever clash again in the near future, then they can go international. That’s just my opinion.

There’s more to talk about but that’s what immediately caught my interest. So, let’s go over to tonight’s SmackDown. It’s apparently “New Year’s Revolution” and so there’s some more enticing action happening tonight. We can expect Mia Yim to challenge Iyo Sky for the Women’s WWE Championship. Pete “Butch” Dunne needs a partner to take on the “wankers” in Pretty Deadly. We can expect Logan Paul to sit ringside for Santos Escobar’s and Kevin Owens’ match. Roman Reigns & the Bloodline are scheduled to be in attendance. We’ll see if Paul Heyman has to fend off any suspicion of re-engaging with a former client. And what will probably be the main event is a Triple Threat between Randy Orton, a heeled AJ Styles and LA Knight. The stake is a chance to get at Roman Reigns’ Undisputed Championship. Let’s not be surprised when the Bloodline decide to dictate play.

The unofficial watch party starts at 8pm PST. I post the quips on Twitter but feel free to check in through Reddit or Threads. I won’t hold it against you. Enjoy your evening out there!

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
