RAW Deals with Royal Rumble Fallout....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Did you enjoy the Royal Rumble? I have to say I came away from it satisfied. It was generally well-executed and though there were no jaw-dropping returns I had a lot of fun and have to say it was one of the more well-rounded PPVs, especially given everything I’m glad everyone kept themselves together and had a great show.

General consensus gives match of the night to the Ladies’ Rumble. Which isn’t much of a surprise. They were forward-thinking with having Jordynne Grace on loan from TNA. Naomi is back and Jade Cargill is now available for main roster action. The Men’s Rumble wasn’t all that bad but all they had was Andrade’s return and Bron Breakker is now everyone’s problem.

Personally I enjoyed the Fatal-4-Way even though the outcome was expected I thought it was well done and it kept me entertained. Everyone looked good and say what you will about Roman Reigns, he performs without having to be exulted, meaning that though he’s the “undisputed champion” no one has to hold themselves back in order to make him look good. He’ll show he’s fallible which gives us “hope” that one day someone more deserving will hold the title but for now, I’m fine with it.

The US Championship match wasn’t bad either. I thought it did a good job building sympathy for Kevin Owens. Logan Paul is doing a great job at being punk ass and cruising for a bruising but the WWE Powers that Be have deemed that now is not the time to drop the title. Can we hope for it at WrestleMania? Guess we can only wait and see.

The one thing that we have to put a pin in is a match with CM Punk. Apparently, during his stint in the Rumble, he tore his triceps and is now out for 4-6months. So, I guess we hope for a Summer Slam return? This sucks but I suppose it explains why Punk ran out of gas out there. Was playing through an injury. I was gonna suggest that he lean into being an “old man” and play up the shit talk to get through it but it looks like working on cardio will be where it’s at while he recuperates. It’s better than nothing.

And so, for the most part, that brings us to tonight’s RAW. It’s the Royal Rumble Fallout and apparently, there will be quite a bit of it. WrestleMania 4o appears to be marred by injuries with Seth Rollins more or less out and now CM Punk. It looks like this year will be the year of the “understudy” as who’s left standing is left to fill the void. But first, we’ll hear from our Rumble Winners as Bayley and Cody Rhodes take some time to address the WWE Universe. DIY will remind us they exist and have some mild beef with the Judgment Day. Finn Bálor and Damian Priest will handle that. CM Punk will tell us the bad news. Kofi Kingston will see if he can rain on GUNTHER’s Intercontinental Title parade and Jey Uso will try on Bronson Reed for size. Something tells me Reed’s gonna run a little large.

The unofficial watch party will start at 8pm PST. After the fact but new to us in California. It’s usually the way it goes. Join in if you have the opportunity to catch up. We’re used to it.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
