RAW Brings Us Back to Money in the Bank...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Those of you who have it off, are you enjoying the day? I just treated it like a Sunday 😉 Gotta remind myself that tomorrow’s a workday. So, both AEW and WWE were busy this past weekend. NXT went head to head with AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV. You know I won’t speak on NXT so let’s get down to the general breakdown.

I only checked out the big ole melee with Willow Nightengale, Kenny Omega, The Opps & Swerve Strickland vs. the Death Riders & The Young Bucks. It was a wonderful mess. I took note of how Jon Moxley appeared to be egging on his detractors by filming a promo bloodied, just giving them reasons. Fair enough. Keeps their attention. Otherwise, he seemed to be running at about a 5 out there.

I also took note at how The Young Bucks are starting to look half decent. They’re funny, I’ll give them that, and their synchronicity was commendable but it looks like roughhousing when they’re out there. I want professional rough-housing or what’s the difference between this and watching some guys mess around?

As for the action, you know I’m not one for the “dangerous” stunts and so I couldn’t help but 👎 the thumbtack shoes but I thought the spot through the lit up table was cool. The only other thing that comes to mind is that Gabe Kidd may need to get a tetanus shot. Mark Briscoe doesn’t seem like the type you’d want to take a bite out of, is all I’m saying. Have no idea where he’s been.

Will Osprey and Hangman Page got Match of the Night in most people’s opinion, which is no surprise but the big ole mess could have just been one yet it was perfect mayhem if you ask me. It got the silver medal. Good job, guys! Everyone went out there and did what they needed to do. Can’t ask for much more.

As for the Future, all seems well. Goading the rivals doesn’t hurt. What’s next is always the question and it’s always a good idea to give enemies a reason to ambush you. It’s on brand. I can see Mox talking shit to the pitcher, trying to get hit. Proceed. The more he “deserves” the “real stuff”, the better.

Over in the WWE Universe, Saturday Night: Main Event went off without a hitch. Sounds like Chelsea Green took 1 for the team as reports are saying she broke her nose in her bout against Zelina Vega for the US Championship. Vega retained but this turn of events could definitely work in Green’s favor. Her hammy persona could play up the nose guard she has to sport. The lady knows how to make lemonade.

I enjoyed the opening Tag Team with CM Punk & Sami Zayn taking on Seth Rollins & Bron Breakker. Didn’t even have Bronson Reed coming in to take Punk out on the radar. Thought we wouldn’t see him until next year or something given the way people were talking about his foot. Thought it was smashed to bits. In any case, Reed is back to fulfill all those PTO requests. He’ll get you “smashed out” directly.

Speaking of PTO, looks like Drew McIntyre put in for some since Damian Priest quietly dispatched him in the Steel Cage Match. It was commendable. Priest just went in there and went to work. Punk vs. McIntyre was more fun but Priest has nothing to be upset about. He went out and completed the assignment. My likening him to a Puerto Rican Sagat seems justified.

The main event delivered as well, with a platinum-haired Cody Rhodes returning to save the day. John Cena had “ominous” words for Jey Uso backstage. We come to find that Cena would sabotage Jey’s victory in his quest to “ruin wrestling”. Well, not over Rhodes dead body! Wrestling will remain intact! We’ll just have to wait to roll our eyes when we see how Logan Paul fits into all that.

And so, that brings us tonight’s RAW. The theme is Money in the Bank seeing how it’s in a couple weeks. We have some more Qualifying Matches as Chad Gable will find himself flanked by Dragon Lee and Penta aka Lucha-Mitsu. We'll see if Finn Bálor tries to get Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn to take each other out. And we’ll have a Tag Team Triple Threat as the “Bad” New Day will face both the War Raiders and the Creed Brothers for the Championships.

I have less to do since I had the day off so, the unofficial replay party can start during the 8 o’clock hour, Pacific Time. Again, can’t get too comfortable. Got work tomorrow.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
