SmackDown Sets the Final Pieces for MITB...

 How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Happy Money in the Bank Eve. Well, there are a few interesting unverified reports floating around but since they’re more or less just rumor, I’m not sure I’ll comment but we have some things to chat about. Ready to get in to it? Let’s.

In the Realm of AEW, they are testing their fans' level of interest as they’re having their Fyter Fest and blessing fans with 4 hours of content on Wednesday nights. We got Part 1 this week and I believe Part 2 is set for next week. I kept my ears open to any good matches to take a look at but to check on the progress of the Future, I had to see how Jon Moxley and his Riders of Death are doing.

I took a look at Mox’s match with Mark Briscoe and I have to say it’s the first time I’ve seen Briscoe’s work up front. He’s a scrappy chap. Briscoe wore the blood this time around and Mox seemed to encourage it even “sup” upon it. Disgusting. 😉 He could be said to be egging on anyone who doesn’t like it and that should be a few people. I’d be stewing lightly in my juices for sure. Not sure why they let his unsanitary ass on screen. It’s fodder for the argument and another “foul ball” down the line.

And if that wasn’t enough for you, after Adam Page made his claims for the near future, Mox & Co. had to swarm in for the intimidation stare down. Page didn’t flinch and Will Osprey showed to have his back jogging in with chairs, ready for battle. Mox decided not today but we can see it will be soon. Page and Osprey seem like types to keep this in the ring but those who are willing to “get real” have some more “evidence” of “deplorable” and “depraved” behavior. Therefore, the Future remains Bright. Continue to proceed. Have fun with the rest of the year and then the “repercussions” should start to manifest. 2026 should be when the real fun begins.

In the WWE Universe, the focus is mostly on MITB but there is a lot of speculation on what Mr. Vince McMahon is up to. Word is that he sold about $250 million of TKO stock. Some think it’s in a bid to buy back WWE but $250 million wouldn’t do it. I’m thinking this is a case when the simplest answer is the best. He just started up a private investment firm, it probably has to do with those costs more than anything else.

What is interesting is that despite the bad press that permeates Mr. McMahon’s history, there are quite a few who wouldn’t mind a return to the old guard. I suppose it’s a case of better the devil you know. Say what you will, most of us are familiar and many of the participants of the WWE Universe don’t like change. I’ve stated how there are so many stuck in the past. They’d take things back to the 80s or the Attitude Era if they had the time machine.

Personally, I don’t mind the current regime. The only real gripe is the arbitrary releases. But the content is consistently head and shoulders above the old guard’s. I really think they were just slapping it together. That makes continuity rather difficult and you’ve got a fanboy/fangirl audience now. They want things to obsess over. Hard to do that when what’s “hot” is over and done with tomorrow. Let us embrace progress but aim for a sense of understandable thought. Most times, I can see why people got released but it would be better all around if those in trouble get a chance to defend themselves first. Can’t show what you got if you don’t have the opportunity. It’s easier to let them go after they’ve swung and missed.

We’ll see if that’s ever taken into consideration but for now, we conclude the Go-Home Week with SmackDown. We can expect to see Aleister Malakai Black take a look at what besides a mouth LA Knight has got. The Ladies of the MITB Ladder Match will limber up with a 6-Woman-Tag. All the MITB Boys are here too, so there’s bound to be some hijinks in the mix. And John Cena and Logan Paul will trade final barbs with Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.

It’s a busy weekend. NXT has their show going too and AAA. Stephanie Vaquer is set for double duty so, Saturday will be a full day for the real enthusiasts. If you’re only interested in WWE, the party starts at 4pm PDT. Expect the Kick-off about an hour or so before.  As for tonight, the unofficial watch party starts at 8pm. You know where to find me. Swing by if you if you’re all about MITB right now. You’re not the only one.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
