SmackDown Only Has Mercy For the Worthy...

How Goes It, Enthusiasts!

Well, RAW didn’t so much take us home for No Mercy as dropped us off around the corner but, let’s face it.  We’ve all sat through worse of their offerings.  The shining light came in Bayley making her return from the Disabled List.  Match wise, the Tag Teams in Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins, Sheamus & Cesaro and uh…Anderson & Gallows was the most entertaining though a little cheesy at times.  Honorable Mentions to Jason Jordan and Bo Dallas doing their best to make their programs interesting at the end of the show.  Though, I’d usually say to dial it back, they’re in the Big Leagues so, I appreciate them going for broke.  Outside of that, it was promos galore and everyone basically did their job…I’ll leave it at that.

So, going into No Mercy, SmackDown doesn’t necessarily need to do RAW any favors.  They’ve got their Hell in a Cell to prepare for and then there is the looming drama of Kevin Owens vs. The McMahon Family.  We’ll see what Shane does with it before I fully comment because this could be an interesting angle.  I don’t foresee Owens getting “fired” unless he needs surgery or requested some time off but, this is gross insubordination we have on our hands here.  How will Shane maintain the roster’s respect as he deals with this troublemaker?  If that doesn’t grab you, we have Baron Corbin going after AJ Styles for the US Championship tonight.  Seeing how Corbin hasn’t exactly been given the “green light”, so to speak I suppose this may result in some sort of disqualification in the end.  To drop the title before a "rival" PPV would be a little odd in terms of timing but, the WWE has been known to perplex.  We’ll see if they make sense of their set-ups.  Funny tweets get retweeted and Likes/Favorites have to be earned.  No freebies.

See You in a Bit,
