RAW Offers You TLC...You Can Find Them Under the Ring...
Good
Evening, Enthusiasts!
How’s
everyone doing? Good I hope. Well, before I get into the recent WWE news,
let me just say that SmackDown did a
great job of setting the scene for RAW
last week. The show was fun but of
course, everyone wanted to get to the dog food bit. In all honesty, we have to give it to Roman
Reigns for being a good sport. A fellow
such as he could easily be too cool for school on a gag like this but he sucked
it up and played along. And if I didn’t
know better, I’d say Dolph Ziggler was heading this attack more than anyone
else and Baron Corbin just came along for the ride. Looks like Reigns got the “little brother
treatment”, if you ask me. Let’s hope he
has just as much fun formulating a comeback.
Before
breaking down tonight’s action, let’s just take a brief moment to mourn the
releases of Luke Harper, Sin Cara and The Ascension. Those
of us in-the-know, know that these fellows for the most part have been unhappy
with the WWE and the WWE allowed them to seek greener pastures. The Ascension is and isn’t a surprise. I was never really sold on them and the
Viking Raiders are doing the same-diff more effectively so, they could be more
a matter of, “…we can’t have 2 of ‘em…” I’m
sure they’ll all be on AEW soon. It’s
always too bad when this sort of thing happens but the reality of being a paid
member of the WWE Universe will have its pros and cons. Suppose the cons outweighed the pros in these
instances. It can and does happen. I only hope their contracts allowed for some sort of severance. Seems kinda cold otherwise just ahead of Holiday Season.
Anyway,
as for tonight, looks like we’ll have some fine action to take us into
TLC. Remember, this is the Go-Home show
and they have Rey Mysterio set to face-off against AJ Styles for the US
Title. Now, I find this a little
suspicious to have this match prior to a PPV.
It’s either going to deteriorate into a no-contest that will have to be
settled with some sort of TLC match on Sunday or it’s just a taste of action
for the non-paying viewers. Either way,
we shouldn’t be too disappointed if they throwdown. Should be solid action, regardless. What will have to work way harder is the “divorce”
of Lana and Rusev which is also scheduled for tonight. I don’t know what’s gonna happen with
this. I’m sure most will use the spot
for a bathroom break or to get another beer.
I know they attempted to go Jerry
Springer Show with this bit but it’s clear the players couldn’t ham it up
in the right vein. I would say it’s a
bit late to try to find the right tone but they might as well go out
swinging. If they can actually
demonstrate some humor with this, it may not be so painful to watch but I’m not
expecting that. If it’s achieved kudos
to them for pulling it together at the last minute but again…would be surprised
if they managed to pull it off. Funny
tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, be a little bit of a
ball-buster. It’s the final PPV of the year and they should have some fun with
it. Blow out the year right, you
know. Make it clear we’re not in the
mood for any bullshit. They need to
bring it but you know, not too much.
Save the best for the PPV.
See
You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
