SmackDown Has to Take Care of Some Business Before TLC...
Happy
Friday, Enthusiasts!
Is it
treating you well? I gotta tell ya, this
is about all I can do tonight. I am spent!
Anyway, so RAW did its job
this past Monday as Seth Rollins solidified his heel turn. Yes there were some title matches but since
the titles didn’t change hands, that could easily be viewed as a nod to the
viewers without the WWE Network. So, who
knows what exactly we’ll see come Sunday.
This is why I’m focusing on the heel turn. There is a lot of potential here, especially
since Rollins is beginning to demonstrate a “pattern”.
His
recruiting of the Authors of Pain could be viewed as a blatant attempt to recreate
some sort of SHIELD faction. He feels
most confident being “The Architect”.
The potential for drama is quite prevalent here. Will Roman Reigns have anything to say about
this? Will Rollins ever seek out his
support? Will Reigns oblige? And there’s always hope for the future. We all know that for the foreseeable one, Jon
Moxley will remain that incarnation over at AEW but that doesn’t mean we’ll
never see Dean Ambrose again. To be
honest, I hope there are WWE/AEW collaborations in the future but whether they will
take shape is hard to say with conviction presently. Yet, I think if both promotions are wise,
they’ll leave a pathway for this to happen.
You know, when the time is right.
As for now, the point I’m making will more than likely be addressed by
any of Rollins’ opponents. They’ll point
out how he has a problem with moving on.
Rollins will say the WWE Universe made him do it and we’ll see if they
can keep this angle interesting.
Hopefully, they’ll have fun with it.
It could go in a lot of different directions quite entertainingly.
In any
case, tonight the only tidbit we have is that Reigns goes full loco, which is understandable given the
dog food facial and hair treatment Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin served up to him last week. Payback is to be expected. So in this instance, that’s all we need to
see. Reigns has to go plum loco but you
know, in a fun way. He’s got to leave a
big ole mess with these fools and do so effectively. I don’t doubt he can do it, it’s a matter of
will he. The thing with this industry is
that it’s basically professional rough housing.
You gotta kick someone’s ass without kicking someone’s ass. He’s gotta sell the beatdown and everyone still
has to be able to go come Sunday. Will
he pull it off? That is the test. We’ll be watching. Funny tweets get retweeted and as for
Likes/Favorites, well this is a Go-Home Show.
They have to leave us hungry for TLC and it being the last PPV of the
year, there’s a sense of finality to it so, that lends one to feel a need to
close things out in a way. I hope
everyone takes this as full clearance to leave it all out there. Within reason of course, there’s a show
Sunday 😉
See
You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
