TLC Closed Us Out So, RAW....Now What?....
A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts!
Hope all is well. So, TLC was actually a lot of fun! I know some people had some problems with it
but I enjoyed it. The matches I touched
on more or less made the grade. Bray
Wyatt and The Miz had potential but as I’ve been saying, Wyatt appears to be
having a hard time landing his reinvention in person and last night was no
different. It was a little more palatable but
for me, I’m not seeing the point of getting in the ring if he’s not going to
throw down. Nothing is really happening
in these matches. The only thing that
happened is that a cleaned up Daniel Bryan “reappeared” and laid waste to
Wyatt. That would have been even more
fun if Wyatt and Miz actually threw down but no, Wyatt opted for masochism and
then sudden dismantling of the Miz. The
match fell flat but Bryan kept it afloat.
Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy were true to
form and apparently didn’t hold back.
Hopefully, there’s no hard feelings as Black may have taken home a
broken nose. Regardless, the match lived
up to the hype. It’s clear that won’t be
the last we see of them. Also, I enjoyed
the Ladies closing it out. I didn’t
notice Kairi Sane getting injured but I loved her work. She’s got a cheeky little personality in
there. Her using the fire extinguisher was proof of that. Hope she’s back
at it soon.
Yet, I do have to give an honorable mention to
the Baron Corbin/Roman Reigns match. A lot
of people are going out of their way on the social medias to pan it but it was a lot more fun than I anticipated it to be. I don’t mind that Reigns was made to take
out "henchmen". Let’s be honest, that’s
probably the next jump, to see if this stuff works in the movies, TV or
otherwise. Might as well build a
reel. I’m not mad at the man. Maybe just let others get to do it too from
time to time. He’s not the only one who
could make it elsewhere. Besides that,
it was a lot of hard-hitting action – the kind I like – and more importantly,
it looked like they were having a lot of fun with it. That’s what’s been missing I think for a while. People have been out there working and not in
the good way. This last go-round, people
seemed loose and it looked like they were going for it. That’s all I really ask. I live vicariously through this stuff. If it looks phoned in or forced, what is the
point! This time, they seemed to “get it”. They went out there, mussed each other up,
knocked each other about and it was great!
Makes you want to jump in too but we don’t…for obvious reasons.
So, now that TLC is all said and done,
everyone can coast for a little bit. The
Holidays are coming up and we don’t really have to start the charge for the
Royal Rumble until January so, hopefully the WWE uses this time to have some
fun and/or iron out some kinks. Most of us will be too caught up with Holiday
preparations and travel to be too concerned with the content so, I think they
should just concentrate on having fun out there and nailing the matches. You know, kinda get back to basics like I’ve
been suggesting. Last night showed some
potential. Who knows what we’d get if we
just let these players play. May be
pleasantly surprised. All that is
advertised for RAW is AJ Styles
facing off against Randy Orton ‘cause who doesn’t Orton have beef with? Seems like we’ll have to guess at the rest of
these 3 hours. Go ahead and take a
shot. As they say on the social medias,
wrong answers only 😉 Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites,
for all the aforementioned reasons listed above don’t trouble yourselves too
much for the rest of the year. We’ve all
got other concerns. Let’s just see if
they prompt a response and go from there.
See You in a Bit,
