RAW Starts to Move to the Far Left Lane as Fastlane Approaches...

A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts.

Does it find you well? Give yourself some slack, daylight savings time and all. So, what’s going on in the wrestling world? Not that much, or rather no more than the usual but a few things stick out.

First, it appears The Miz is making a bid to be taken more seriously. There are photos of him looking leaner and meaner than usual circulating. I suppose he didn’t like how people reacted to him wearing the title. Well, working out is one thing, gaining skill is another. Though he is fine on the mic, most would say his wrestling is mediocre at best. He knows how to do what he does, I won’t challenge that but I can’t say I’ve ever been amazed by his matches. Let’s take John Morrison in comparison. Though he goes for the flash, he has demonstrated that he can have an engaging match. Coupled with the acrobatics, if you had to choose, it’s Morrison every time. So, if you ask me, getting jacked isn’t the key to The Miz’s success. Coming up with some sweet moves is. I don’t need him killing himself but if he can nail some solid offense, I’m sure people would take him more seriously yet, as of now, I doubt many people are scared of him and that’s what he really needs to change. I gotta admit, I kinda think I could take him.

In other news, word is Charlotte will be getting some more on-screen time outside of  WWE. The rumor is that she’s going to star in a female reboot of Walking Tall. That could work, though I would believe a Tamina more in the role. Yet, I can see how Charlotte has more general appeal. I don’t see myself rushing to see it but when it starts streaming somewhere, I may have a watch.

So, that brings us to tonight. The big news being advertised is that Asuka finally returns to action and is set to face Shayna Baszler to pick up where they left off. There are 2 title matches scheduled since this is Go Home Week for Fastlane. Got to give the people who don’t want to pay to play something to look forward to. Ratings are still appreciated. The New Day will try to switch things up by challenging Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Business for the RAW Tag Team Titles. And Riddle will have to defend the US Title against Mustafa Ali. As for the rest, we’ll have to watch and see. Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes, don’t push for it. It’s Go-Home for RAW tonight so they have to open the festivities for Fastlane as SmackDown segues into it. We’re looking to see if they start to get us excited for the PPV and in this case, even more excited for WrestleMania. If they fall short, you know what to do. Let it all come naturally.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
