The Final Laps to WrestleMania Begin....

Welcome to Monday, Enthusiasts.

There’s nothing too special about it. Just trying a new greeting. So, there’s some chatter floating around. Why don’t we add some more to it.

To start, my suspicions have been confirmed as news drops that Charly Caruso got herself a full-time job with ESPN. People tend to start giving a fuck when they have greener pastures to go to. She let the secret slip with her behavior. All I can say about that is let’s hope this doesn’t color her new position. The behavior, if that’s what happened, indicates a flighty personality. Could be viewed as immature which doesn’t tend to bode well with a professional reputation yet, she went from fake sports to real sports so, I can see how she could simply give a fuck. She’s got a real job now. Good for her.

Elsewhere, Aleister Black has posted a cryptic post on Instagram. Speculations abound about what it could mean. I just hope that he stays with WWE. Andrade I won’t miss but Black I still feel would be a shame. The same way I thought it was a pity Pac moved on to AEW. I thought him losing the title to Enzo back then was the start of an epic Heel reign but nope. That was the line and he was off to AEW. I always thought they should have booked him like they did Finn Balor at the time simply because he has the build. As much as Balor has grown on me, he is a slight fellow. Makes it seem like he’s made of glass. Pac is another small tank. I get the feeling he could take the bumps and be a more believable contender but that is neither here nor there at present. The point here is let us hope that WWE doesn’t make the same mistake. Black may not have the build of Pac but he manages to be intimidating even with the average frame. That hints that he has personality and that’s something that always works well in WWE. He needs a fair shot or what’s the point of aiming for WWE. There are bigger implications here. WWE has to show that it knows what to do with fleshed out talent. I understand being at a loss with a wrestler who isn’t fully realized but Black isn’t that. If they don’t figure out what to do with him, they just prove they don’t really know what to do with anybody. Not a good look.

There’s more going on but that’s all that caught my interest. As for tonight’s RAW, we have Bobby Lashley looking for hired thugs within the roster to eliminate Drew McIntyre from contention. Sheamus will have at Riddle to set-up possibilities for WrestleMania. And Asuka will put her stamp on the contract signing for the RAW Women’s Title Match against Rhea Ripley. We’ll see if Ripley’s match gets properly inaugurated with the Contract Signing Brawl. This hasn’t been as consistent in recent years, and that’s okay but the tradition shouldn’t fall out practice. That’s one of the things I like about WWE. Action can erupt from nowhere. I hope as they get back up and running at full capacity, they start up the brawls again. Not all the time of course, don’t want to play it out but maybe like, quarterly. Have ‘em during No Man’s Land stretches between lesser PPVs or something. It’s some spice to keep us interested as they plan for the bigger PPVs. Since ratings tend to drop during these times, the “random brawl” gives more of a sense that a spectator may miss something. It triggers the fear of missing out. They gotta start slipping in those little morsels. Viewers need incentive. The more WWE shows it knows how to show us a good time, more of us will start coming around. That’s how it tends to work. In the meantime, funny tweets get retweeted as for Likes, well we have a week before Go-Home week. This isn’t quite No Man’s Land as much as extended set-up. There shouldn’t be too much fluff outside of the usual comedic relief. Let’s see if the slow build does the job.

See You in a Bit,
