SmackDown Comes Peeling into Fastlane....

How Are You Doing, Enthusiasts?

Glad the week’s is done? Yeah, me too. So, what’s going on in the wrestling world? Well, the biggest news appears to be Charly Caruso peace-ing out. Whether this is voluntary or not seems to be the real point of contention. Rumors are saying that she had been late to perform some roster interviews and just generally not the most professional recently. Well, that sounds like she got another gig to me but who knows. As we can see, WWE has already moved on with her replacement in Kevin Patrick so, I suppose that’s that.

Another interesting bit of news is how Kevin Owens isn’t feeling too confident about a having a place in WrestleMania this year. Well, he can’t fully complain because he got plenty of action in December which a lot of the roster, I’m sure, would have gladly taken. This is why WWE needs to focus on developing the WWE Universe. There’s no reason the likes of Kevin Owens should be sitting on the sidelines. What’s the point of the Creative Department if they don’t have any ideas? Whoever makes up this department needs to act more like they want to keep their job. If I were running things, I’d be doing trial runs with people until I found a team that worked. It’s ridiculous and technically a waste of money. Wrestlers need to start recognizing this and start speaking up.

Yet, they can’t just bitch about it either. The sentiment needs to be cooperative. Admit that WWE doesn’t have all the answers and not all wrestlers produce must see TV. That doesn’t mean something watchable can’t be developed. An effort will have to be made on both sides. If they could just start there, there’s hope.

And so, that brings us to tonight’s SmackDown. It is Go-Home for Fastlane and the big draw tonight is Edge in primetime action against Jey Uso. The beauty of this is that it’s practically a guaranteed good match. Both gentlemen know what to do out there and seeing how Jey is angling for an Emmy someday, Edge may just be the sage mentor that takes him to the next level. I don’t expect that to happen tonight but if they continue to work together, I don’t think we’ll be upset with the result. Good actors tend to pull the best out of less experienced ones. Let’s see what Edge does with him. Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes well, some people aren’t impressed with tonight’s offerings but WWE onlookers can be hard to please at times. Give it an honest look and if they do in fact miss the mark, burn ‘em on it. Hey, it’s Go Home. They have one job, get us excited for Sunday. We’ll see if they do it.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
