RAW Takes Another Whack at It...

 Happy Memorial Day, Enthusiasts!

I hope you’re taking time to enjoy it. I’m attempting some baked ribs. I usually leave the job to someone else but with the extra time and it being a special occasion, I figured why not. May those in the midst of culinary experiments find success. As for the wrestling world, there are some grumblings. Let’s examine a few, shall we.

Well, the most eyebrow-raising piece of news is that Mark Henry signed with AEW. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. I have nothing against Henry. If he’s just sitting at home at least AEW will give him something to do but AEW is becoming the place where WWE veterans go to end their careers. Not sure that’s a precedent AEW really wants to carry but we’ll see if it ever matters. Hopefully Henry makes the best of the move. Lio Rush apparently also made a guest appearance at last night’s Double or Nothing PPV. In cases like that, I’m just glad they’re working.

In the WWE Universe, SmackDown suffered a minor drop in ratings this past week. It’s not too surprising. With the NBA in playoffs and the 3-day weekend, it’s easy to see that people found other things to do with their time. Nothing for WWE to worry about yet. The show itself was solid so, it wasn’t due to content. The pandemic proved to us the obvious. People generally prefer real life and real time interactions. What are you gonna do?

So, that brings us to tonight’s RAW which appears to have a full night of action planned. The Miz found some crackpot, mad scientist and had the anti-zombie serum administered. Fit it in after his COVID vaccine and is now ready to resume Miz TV 😉. He’ll have Charlotte and Rhea Ripley as guests. AJ Styles and Omos will take on Jaxon Ryker and Elias for the Tag Team Titles. I’d be surprised if we saw an upset here. Xavier Woods will stay loose courtesy of Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston are gonna see who deserves a 2nd chance the most as they battle for #1 Contender status to face Bobby Lashley for the WWE Title. We’ll see if they can keep themselves afloat. Funny tweets and Likes get retweeted. Let’s see who lands on some gold.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
