SmackDown Meets RAW at the Finish Line to WrestleMania...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts!

It is another WrestleMania Eve and we are all gathered to see how tonight’s SmackDown kicks everything off. It will be a full weekend of wrestling and I just gathered the final provisions for holing myself up for it all. I’m going to be well-fed and comfortable. How about you 😉 As for the Wrestling World, I think you’d say we have at least a couple things to talk about. Let’s break them down a bit, shall we?

First, we’ll check in with the Realm of AEW as the Championship has finally been taken from Jon Moxley. Samoa Joe was able to put him down and change the script for the time being. Personally, I thought it all kinda happened “easily” so, I’m not sure if that was just to sell the story or if it’s “ulterior motive” on Mox’s part but this is the ebb and flow that has to happen. Too much of the same gets boring and Mox should understand the theory of when to let “good prevail” in these sorts of scenarios. That’s how we all got here in the first place.  Regardless of what this all “means”, it is time for the next chapter and we’ll see what Mox at a 6.5 looks like.

Funny enough, in the WWE Universe, former SHIELD brother, Roman Reigns found himself in the center of an inadvertent political maelstrom. Not sure why he felt the need to comment on the political state of affairs of the moment. Doesn’t seem the type to be how shall I say…that informed however, given what he did say, I’m kinda surprised at the response.

Yes, he did more or less support Donald Trump but like anyone who knows the company he works for has direct connections to the man. Trump is in the WWE Hall of Fame and Reigns' former boss’ wife works under him. I don’t think he’d risk saying something critical. I think he understands what side of his bread is buttered enough to know that. Yet, I think we’re all agreed that politics is probably an arena he’d best stay out of. As you can see, it can get sticky quickly and I doubt he’s got the wherewithal to comfortably navigate in these choppy seas.

If it becomes an actual problem, I’d take the easy way out and assign it to kayfabe. That’s what Roman Reigns thinks, not necessarily Joe Anoa’i. And from that perspective, if Anoa’i is smart, his general response should be, “No comment…”.

And that basically brings us to tonight’s SmackDown. The fire has to be lit for all the excitement scheduled for the weekend. To help get it going, The Motor City Machine Guns will see if they can get the Tag Team Titles back from the Street Profits. We’ll get cameos from stars from both RAW and SmackDown. The party will get started with the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale. And John Cena will get in Cody Rhodes’ face 1 final time before Sunday.

The unofficial watch party will start at 8pm PDT. I got some other business to attend to so my comments may be a bit out of sync but I’ll get caught up, don’t worry. I have my ways to account. We’ll get it done tonight. Too much going on.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
