RAW Begins Life Without John Cena...
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?
Welcome to the end of Monday. So, John Cena’s career has ended
and the Internet Wrestling Community (IWC) had plenty to say about it. Well, I
said to brace yourself. WWE will WWE and Cena’s send off was no different. They
gave him his flowers after his loss but many fans were bummed that they ended
it that way.
After years of Hustle, Loyalty and Respect along with never
giving up our dedicated hero tapped out. When you think about it, it is a
fitting end as he closes this chapter he did so by simply admitting he was “beat”.
You could read that various ways. GUNTHER was simply too much. Cena was simply too
old, too tired. It works poetically however you look at it.
However, the fans wanted to celebrate and WWE just wouldn’t let them.
Tends to be the crossroads we always stand at with WWE. Will they just let us
have our “happy ending”? The answer is sometimes and usually only to serve their
purpose. Remember, they want to operate with autonomy and if they cater to us
too much, they lose that.
True, they need us but they make it clear they’ll only engage us
on their terms so that is something a potential fan has to decide upon. Can you
accept those terms? If not, AEW may be better for you ‘cause WWE isn’t changing
anytime soon.
I had my minor battle in the beginning but now that content is
more regularly palatable, I’ve made my peace with them. As I said previously,
they’re a Heel Company so don’t expect them to play nice or care too much. This
is how they’re gonna roll.
As for the show itself, I didn’t have many problems with it. I
like this Oba Femi. He seems like fun and he’s a big dude so we already start
to contemplate match-ups. Bayley introduced us to Sol Ruca who, allow me to
correct, is more like Charlotte Flair’s cousin from Hawaii. I was close π And
the newcomers in Je’Von Evans and the TNA loan out in Leon Slater proved
promising talent. It was a fun show.
Yes, Cena losing was a bummer but I don’t know what anyone
expected. WWE plays the long game and since Cena’s out why give him the victory?
GUNTHER assumes the new distinction of “Legend Killer” and he’s got the right
disposition to do so. He seems to enjoy squashing dreams. You can hear him giving
us the brush off in German. “Werde erwachsen und stellen sie sich dem, was
passieren wird.” Fine! So, now we hope someone comes up to stop him in his
tracks from time to time.
And who will that be? There are quite a few to choose from but
for now, on tonight’s RAW, we can expect GUNTHER to tell us to stop
being crybabies so that we can get on with it. Rey Mysterio will administer
Logan Paul’s winter final. Raquel Rodriguez will see if she can snatch the
Women’s World Championship from Stephanie Vaquer. The reunited Usos will take
on the Bad New Day and we’ll see how they’ve since evolved and CM Punk will be
here to make us feel a little better. He’s probably willing to take a shot at
wiping that smug smirk off Gunther’s face.
I should be getting going by 6:30pm tonight. This should be the
last time but I may have 1 more early start next week. 2026 should be a more
liberated year for me but things have to still settle on the ground but they’re
getting there. In the meantime, let’s see how WWE closes out the year. You know where to find me.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
