SmackDown Returns to the North America. Canada to Be Exact...
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?
Happy Friday! Well, there’s not much going on in
the Wrestling World but that’s okay. It doesn’t have to be exciting all the
time. Makes it more special when it is. I got a couple things to chat about and
then it’s off to the weekend. We got some things going on so, let me get to it.
First, let’s stop by the Realm of AEW as we saw
the feud of all feuds start up as the Riders of Death exacted revenge on the Don
Callis Family on this week’s Dynamite. I have to say I couldn’t be
prouder of the display. Everyone went out and nailed the assignment. I have no
notes. That was exactly what I was hoping for and I was not disappointed.
You see, when they have fun, we have fun. That was
awesome! Everyone came out ready to play and play they did. I appreciated how
Callis sat in on Commentary and did all he could to discredit the Riders and Jon
Moxley. I just wanted to playfully point out that Mox isn’t a sociopath. I know
Callis was just talking his shit but as we’ve witnessed time and time again,
and Wednesday Night was no different, Mox is a masochist. He proved it again by
taking the slam on the barbed wire mess he pulled out “meant for the Callis Family.”
The minute I saw that thing I knew that was the last thing that was going to happen.
But that’s fine. Proves the overlying point that he’s a “threat to himself and
others”.
I have to give a shout out to PAC with the lowkey humor
of coming out on a crutch to beat someone up with it. Isn’t gonna let a “bum
ankle” stop him from lending a hand. I also want to give some props to Lance
Archer for being a big, bad man. You know you’re doing your job right when you’re
commended for being the “bad guy”. He annihilated fools mercilessly and took
his licks from Marina Shafir in stride. Good work, everyone!
Now, the hard part begins. Keeping this
interesting for the time being. I would suggest letting things breathe. They
shouldn’t be going at it every week but there should certainly be some promos
to remind us they don’t like each other and to ruffle those feathers. The Riders
got this one so the Callis Family should probably get the next and so on and so
forth.
Also, I feel MJF should get involved soon, if
only to be an ear for Callis. I don’t know if it makes sense for them to
fraternize but I can see them being united in not liking Mox. I still think it’s
a good idea for MJF to lay the “1st Strike” for Callis but that
doesn’t have to happen. It just makes sense. MJF wouldn’t care and would think
he’s doing everyone a favor only to “regret it later” and that in of itself should
be another “fun night”. Very exciting,
my friends. The Future is not only Bright, they may end up with a class action
lawsuit when some people go blind. I love it! Keep up the good work.
Over in the WWE Universe, we have to get ready for
the Royal Rumble but first we have the Saturday Night: Main Event this
weekend. To set the scene, on tonight’s SmackDown we have Carmelo Hayes,
ready for the next challenger for the US Championship. Jade Cargill returns to
action to see what Chelsea Green wants. Damian Priest will deal with Trick
Williams before Williams steps all over Priest’s couch. We’ll have the Women’s
Tag Team Number 1 Contenders’ Triple Threat Match with Alexa Bliss &
Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax & Lash Legend and Giulia & Kiana James. The Wyatt
Sicks will play for blood as Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline Juggalos battle for
the Tag Team Championships. And at some point we’ll hear from Cody Rhodes as he
ponders his match against Jacob Fatu at SNME.
I don’t have to cook tonight so I’ll be nice and
comfy come showtime. I suggest you do the same if you have the luxury. The
party will start at 8pm PST per usual. I’ll have the post up for the SNME tomorrow
afternoon. Have a great night, everyone!
See You in a
Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
