Royal Rumble 2026 - RAW Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

If you partook of the Royal Rumble, how did you like it? I didn’t hate it but I would concur with the general consensus that it seemed lacking a bit. That may have been due to politics and logistics but overall, a well-executed show.

The Realm of AEW is relatively quiet as far as the Future is concerned. So, I’ll just touch on it briefly now. The Don Callis Family doesn't seem too concerned with being “cunning” at this current juncture but I saw on Saturday’s Collision that they can be dicks, no problem. As for Our Man Moxley, he’s trying to be the adult in the room and so far, so good. We’ll see how long that lasts. Let it stew.

Now, back to the Rumble, the biggest surprise was the return of Brie Bella to help out Nikki Bella for a few minutes before getting jointly eliminated. The Men’s surprises were underwhelming at best but I think the Saudi backdrop had the most to do with that.

Also, many fans/commenters noted how the stadium seemed fairly empty for such a to-do event. Many cited the ticket prices for that and if that’s true it should give WWE Brass plenty to think about. Why go through all the trouble if the locals don’t even want to/can’t afford to show up? Perhaps they should implement a lottery or contest to issue out remaining tickets in these cases. I can understand the mentality of “already got paid so whatever” but it doesn’t look like the big deal it’s supposed to be. What’s the point? We’ll let them figure that out.

It also seemed to be a show full of “disappointment” as AJ Styles lost his match, commencing his official retirement tour and Sami Zayn couldn’t get on the board against Drew McIntyre leaving him still winless in their head-to-head matches.

Nevertheless, the Saudi Crowd appeared to be appeased on paper with Liv Morgan and Roman Reigns winning the Rumbles respectively. Here, I don’t really have any gripes as it makes up for lost time for Morgan and it gives Reigns a better win than the first time around for sure. I don’t mind those “loose ends” getting tied off.

Though I don’t want my money back, it was a Rumble with much to be desired however, hopefully it gives Brass something to work on for when WrestleMania is there next year. We’ll have to lower expectations given the reality of putting on a show in Saudi Arabia but I think what revealed itself this time around can be accounted for with relative ease.

Regardless, tonight’s RAW has the Rumble Fallout as WWE returns to the states with an evening in Philadelphia. We can expect to see Bronson Reed take out any Rumble frustrations on Penta (Lucha-Mitsu). Je’Von Evans will continue to get used to the big time with some help from El Grande Americano, whoever it may be. Raquel Rodriguez will take on Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s Championship in a fitting Philly Street Fight. And at some point both Liv Morgan and Roman Reigns will revel in their Rumble wins, probably at separate times but they’ll chat with us a bit.

I still have some early business tomorrow so, we’ll stay at 6:30pm PST but this should be the last time. This status change comes with more agreeable start times for me but not so much for wrestling. Sorry for the 9am-5pm’ers out there. I can sympathize certainly but that’s why this change is so welcome. I can sleep in. Stop by while the getting is still good.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
