Royal Rumble 2026 - SmackDown Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

It’s another Friday. Looking forward to getting some extra sleep this weekend. As for the Wrestling World, there’s not a whole hell of a lot going on that interests me. I’m glancing at it though, but nothing raised a full eyebrow. Given that, this should be relatively short so, let’s knock it out.

Over in the Realm of AEW, the Future is progressing nicely as the Riders of Death continue to wage a “war” with the Don Callis Family. This week, it was a Trios Match as Jon Moxley took PAC and Daniel Garcia into battle against Konosuke Takeshita, Josh Alexander and El Clon. The high points were the exchanges between PAC and El Clon for sure. PAC appears to be finding his new normal after some injury setbacks. There were some nice exchanges between Mox and Takeshita as well as Takeshita has made it clear he aims to come for Mox’s Continental Championship.

The match was relatively clean though there were a few shenanigans from Alexander it was pretty above board for what we know can go down with these factions. In the end, the Callis Family took this one with Garcia eating the pin. We’ll see if that sparks dissension within the Riders’ ranks but there’s a way to go so, there’s no need to jump into that just yet. The action is good and the simmer continues so they can proceed for the time being. Given what I’m seeing in the IWC, the Future definitely remains Bright. There’s no need to rush simply let the seeds grow πŸ˜‰

In the WWE Universe we turn our attention to the Elimination Chamber. This should be a good time for CM Punk as it’s set to be on his turf so we’ll see who gets to play along. For tonight’s SmackDown we conclude the Fallout from the Royal Rumble. We can expect to see Carmelo Hayes take on a new challenger for the US Championship Open Challenge. Shinsuke Nakamura and Tama Tonga quit talking and settle their old beef in the ring. The Ladies will have their first Elimination Chamber Qualification Match as Chelsea Green, Lash Legend and the newly returned Tiffany Stratton box for a spot in a Triple Threat. The Men will offer up a freshly recovered Aleister Black, Randy Orton and Solo Sikoa in theirs. And the Ladies will have a Tag Team Championship as Giulia and Kiana James attempt to spoil Rhea Ripley’s and Iyo Sky’s night.

I just have to pop dinner in the oven tonight so, I should be good to go by showtime. If you don’t have any plans for the evening, I suggest you get yourself nice and comfortable and prepare to enjoy. Many of you probably have Super Bowl plans so, relax a bit before the big game. Otherwise enjoy the Winter Olympics.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
