SmackDown Makes Itself Comfortable in Perth...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Enjoying this Friday? I have definitely had worse ones. So, there are a few things I can chat about in the Wrestling World. There are some rumors floating around but I’ll be focusing more on observations. Are you up for it? Let’s find out.

We’ll start off in the Realm of AEW as they are preparing for the Future. I like what I’m seeing to be honest. I checked out what those Riders of Death are up to and Darby Allin as well. Allin appears to have been given the nod to usher in the Future and I’m all for it. He may be 45lbs. but he gets it.  He’s ready for this “I Quit” Match with Jon Moxley and will set the whole place on fire if he has to. Well, that’s the only thing Mox understands.

I hope they continue to have fun, just mind the limits. This can touch on the humorous but not the ridiculous. It’s a fine line, I know but things have to always go “kayfabe too far”. Remember what got me bitching in the first place. No one wants to see anyone really get hurt. No one should be “dying” for this. They can go nuts but not stupid. Stay within those parameters and the Future only gets Brighter. Please proceed πŸ˜‰

Also, it’s nice to see PAC back in action. I’ll just reiterate that the guy is a real Wolverine. He may not have the hairstyle and claws but for the most part, he fits the description. Technically, he’s too tall but short enough as far as wrestlers go. He seems to be getting back into the swing of things so, I wasn’t surprised he lost to Orange Cassidy but he’s still some next-level shit. Cassidy still understands the assignment as well. I won’t hold being 60lbs. against him.

Over in the WWE Universe, we have to grant some congratulations to Carmella and Corey Graves as they welcomed their second child, a lovely baby boy. So, if you’re wondering where the man’s at, that’s why he got destroyed by Brock Lesnar. Let the man have his paternity leave.

In other good news, we can welcome Santos Escobar back to the fold. For whatever reason, WWE relented and offered him an improved contract. Looks like we’ll be getting Spanish lessons after all. Yay!

I think it’s a good move for WWE. They have to low-key maintain a sense of unexpected benefit, if you ask me. They should have an argument for why they can be considered “essential”. They provide a safe space for societal unrest and you may just learn something too. If they can add a few other talking points, that wouldn’t hurt either. Glad to see Escobar back, regardless.

And so, that brings us to tonight’s SmackDown. It’s the Go-Home Show for Crown Jewel-Perth and since everyone is already over there, this happened way earlier in the day. We’ll see who Sami Zayn got to take on for the US Championship open challenge. We’ll take bets on how long Aleister Black and Damian Priest get to have their Last Man Standing Match. Stephanie Vaquer will play nice with Tiffany Stratton to take on Giulia and Kiana James. There’ll be a Tag Team Championship Match between the Street Profits and the Wyatt Sicks. Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy will be the night’s representatives. And Cody Rhodes will talk with us one more time before facing Seth Rollins tomorrow.

The unofficial watch party will start at 8pm. I don’t have to cook tonight but I do have to bake a cake so I’ll be slightly distracted. I also won’t be up early to watch Crown Jewel. There’s a good chance I may be up anyway but I’ll partake on Saturday probably around 4pm PDT. Check the social media posts to be sure if you want to play along. I’ll post my Matches of Interest later tonight as well. Besides that, you guys know where to find me.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
