Doesn't Matter Where You Are, Money In the Bank Is Going to Get Done!

Image
Greetings Enthusiasts! How’s Tuesday going for you?   So, RAW was quite palatable in my opinion.   Of course an “ideal” go-home show would have been more rousing but this is a good start.   I don’t expect them to turn things around overnight but what I did witness was honest effort.   No one appeared to phone it in.   Everyone was trying to sell it and for that I’m appreciative.   Angling this downward spiral upwards is no easy task.   Everyone is going to have to have a little personal chat with themselves and see how much they’re willing to commit/invest because this will take some dedication. The up-side is that all they really have to do is learn how to have fun out there again.   I get the feeling the real answer to this WWE slump is more obvious than they may think.   They’re looking to past stars and new partnerships when they may have to double back to the basics.   Tell a decent story, make the action compelling and fun.   If the series finale of Game of Thrones tur

SmackDown Feels WrestleMania Is More a State of Mind than a Place...

A Tip-Top Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts! How’s it going for you?   It’s the same ol’, same ol’ for me.   So, let’s get right to it.   RAW was dynamic last night.   I think it did a good job of setting the tone.   It wasn’t over-the-top but there was excitement and intrigue which at least got us wondering as to how they plan to play all this “drama” out.   I’m sure the bulk of you enjoyed the complete breakdown of the 6-Woman Tag Team match.   I thought it was great.   They had a lot of fun with it too as you could see.   Charlotte stole the show for me, though.   I know I’m not the only one because the gif of her kneeing whomever in the face while they were getting carted off and arrested is circulating.   Hilarious!   That’s my girl now.   Heel or Face, she gets it.   We’ll see how they get miraculously pardoned for their match. The one disconcerting aspect of last night’s festivities though was in the form of the showdown between Bobby Lashley and Finn Bálor’s Dæmon.   This w

RAW Expects You to Know What Time It Is...

A Good Evening, Enthusiasts! So, here we are.   Another Go-Home Show for WrestleMania and unlike previous years, I’m honestly intrigued.   Before, I was just wondering whether they’d make it work.   This year, a workable WrestleMania just feels a lot more possible.   It's a strange feeling.  Let us see if there's anything to it.   Looking at the night's events, we have a 6-Woman Tag scheduled.   Naturally, Brock Lesnar needs to have his final showdown with Seth Rollins and Kurt Angle will wrestle for the last time on RAW .   Hopefully, he’ll actually be able to complete the thing.   Many of us were upset with Randy Orton busting up the match against AJ Styles.   I know the point was to rile people up but there are good ways and bad ways to do this and that last time was an example of a “bad way”.   Orton and Management may have a little real heat on them for that one.   We the Audience would have preferred they boxed clean. Well, these things happen in the WWE.   I

This Is Why SmackDown Just Stays in the FastLane

A Good Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts! So, I would say RAW was at least engaging.   It wasn’t bad.   It wasn’t the smoothest either but it wasn’t bad.   Decent for a Go-Home Show.   We learn that Michael Ché and Colin Jost are going to be our guest commentators for WrestleMania and their contribution last night was just a little off but I think it’s something they could acclimate to.   ‘Cause really, they pretty much do the same thing without the wrestling. Besides that, the Shield did in fact reunite and the speculation continues to run rampant as to whether Dean Ambrose will still leave after WrestleMania.   Well, I think if that happens or not depends more on what Creative comes up with.   If they come up with fun content that makes some sort of sense, I think they have a shot at keeping him.   If they dance him around doing, for lack of a better term, “stupid shit” he probably won’t stick around.   Most would do same if they were serious.   So, we’ll see if they prance him aroun

RAW Suggests You Use Your Turn Signal to Merge into the FastLane...

Image
Greetings, Enthusiasts! I do believe we have found ourselves at another Go-Home Show and this time for FastLane.   Now, since FastLane is more like a filler PPV until WrestleMania, I’m not going to harp on how the build has been so-so because this event doesn’t need top billing.   This is another space where some experimentation can be had.   Generally, the lesser PPVs should be utilized as times to “let it hang out”, so to speak.  WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and maybe Survivor Series, those are times to “kill it” but right now, it’s more about having fun.   So, for tonight, not much is advertised but what is isn’t all that surprising.   Naturally, Triple H will have a response for the very rude but distinguished Dave Batista.   And Charlotte will grace us with her presence since there’s a title just lying around without an owner.   She’ll gladly step in. Besides the predictable fodder, we do have the interesting guests in the form of Michael Ché and Colin Jost fr

Allow RAW to Show the Way to the Elimination Chamber

Image
A Good Evening to You, Enthusiasts! We have arrived at the RAW go-home show for the Elimination Chamber and I have to say, some jazzing up is in order.  I’ve practically forgotten what’s on the card.  And with a number of wrestlers limping through injuries, it’s hard to say what exactly we’ll get.  I can’t even speculate on what we can expect.  I’m not saying it’s a bad thing but I just hope they have their contingency plans in order. For tonight, all that’s advertised is that Becky Lynch is set to return, though suspended and I can only assume she still hasn’t seen the resident doctor so, we’ll see how they play out that angle.  A battered and bruised Seth Rollins will address Brock Lesnar at some point. We’ll see if there’s a surprise lurking in the wings.  And Ruby Riott contemplates taking a bite out of Ronda Rousey if she doesn’t get arm-barred first.  So, as you can see, I’m not exactly itching to see what happens at Elimination Chamber with this set-up but perhaps th

RAW Leads the Way to the Royal Rumble!!!!

Image
Greetings Enthusiasts! I hope you’re one of the lucky ones who got today off.   I can’t say that I’m complaining.   So, here we are again at another Go-Home show for the Royal Rumble.   There’s not much advertised.   As we know, Finn Bálor earned the #1 Contender spot against Brock Lesnar now he his job is to sell this match.   When I say this, the real key is making this match believable.  For smarks and perhaps potential new fans, this match-up hinges upon the “sell”.   How believable this match-up comes off is what makes us want to watch it.   Now, this is a quintessential “David vs. Goliath” match.   What the WWE has to focus on is making us believe Finn Bálor honestly has a shot and come the actual match, it has to be honestly portrayed as if he has a chance.   And "truthishly", the only real way to do that is give Bálor the smarts.   He has to outsmart Lesnar to some degree if he’s going to win.   We know the game is inherently rigged, the trick is to make us bel

RAW Serves as a BEACON You Can't Resist!!!!

Good Evening to You, Enthusiasts! How goes this Monday for you?   So, it’s Go-Home time for the final PPV of the year Tables, Ladders and Chairs and though it’s not the best lead up, they’ve gone into PPVs with far less momentum before. Tonight, the rumor is that Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax are going to have a pre-match press conference. There’s also talk that Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will give their showdown a final push and Rollins is going to break down to us as to why RAW sucks so much right now. Also, we’re probably going to hear from Baron Corbin in regards to the contingency plans for the match with Braun Strowman since it’s looking like he won’t be match-ready by Sunday.   And Heath Slater eases into his new refereeing duties.   We’ll see how that works out.   It’s hard to say what’s going to be in between but the goal is the same as it is before any PPV.   Get us salivating for it.   Something tells me the impetus may be a bit more pointed going forward.   The Fan

RAW Only Strives for Victory...

A Good Evening to You, Enthusiasts! So, we have the Go-Home Show for Survivor Series and I have to admit that it’s not as fun as it was last year.   Understandably, there were other matters to attend to with Crown Jewel potentially up for location regarding political turmoil so, I’m going to say that they pulled away a lot of creative power.   Nevertheless, here we are and I’m not sure what to look forward to.   It appears there will be a lot of “Dream Matches” as RAW’s titleholders prepare to face off against SmackDown titleholders but I’m not sure if the winner gets anything but bragging rights.   To say the least, this lead-up has been disappointing but maybe they’ll build up some steam tonight and tomorrow. For tonight, we can prepare to receive Mrs. Stephanie McMahon to begin the “win or else!” set-up.   Brock Lesnar will come through to serve as the RAW Mascot though Braun Strowman may make a last minute reach for the honor.   Alexa Bliss will confirm that the ladi

Yeah RAW Says They Got It But It's SmackDown Who Holds It Down...

A Good Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts. So, we are given pause to contemplate the condition of Roman Reigns and on that, I’ll say this.   When news about the WWE breaks, it all depends on where and when you hear it.   This news was delivered on RAW and news feeds didn’t seem to pick it up until after which leads me to believe there may be some sort of angle.   Now, to what degree I can’t say.   All I know is that real news from the WWE tends to hit the news feed first.   I suspect some Kayfabery but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a real concern regarding Roman Reigns.   I just get the feeling it’s in “none of our business” territory but it is of some gravity nonetheless so have a care and give the man some space.   That I can do but I just hope they’re careful with this.   Plenty wouldn’t be too pleased to be fooled in this way, to say the least.   Let's just say I’m not buying this one completely but I get that something is up. In any case, SmackDown has the tall task of no

Don't Worry...RAW Has It All Under Control...

Greetings Enthusiasts, Well, lead-up to Crown Jewel is certainly getting interesting.  With much of the roster stating their discomfort and the status of some top stars “questionable”, it’s very hard to discern what’s going to happen.  Not sure if this is good or bad for Evolution because it may get overshadowed with all the surrounding news. Nevertheless, it is technically the Go-Home show for the all Women PPV and we’ll see how RAW will set us up for it.  Again, with all the distractions it will be interesting to see how the WWE establishes a train of thought. Moreover, with incoming news of FOX wanting the WWE to go more with the sports theme, we’ll also start to see how the WWE starts to sell this stuff more believably.  Does that mean we’ll finally get some to comparable ladies to face Nia Jax? Will matches actually have to be “earned” as opposed to arbitrarily decided?  It’s all hard to say.  We will stay posted. As for tonight, it’s also kinda hard to figure what we can e

Sharpen Up! RAW Has to Show It Knows How to Act Before SummerSlam...

Image
A Good Evening to You, Enthusiasts. Unfortunately, the night’s events are overshadowed by the unfortunate passing of Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart.   I did not see this gentleman in action but I am a great fan of his daughter, Natalya, and my sincere condolences go out to the family.   Natalya was scheduled for action tonight but I’m sure they’ll find a replacement as she mourns.   Such unfortunate timing, as well for tonight and tomorrow are the Go-Home shows for Summer Slam.   It’s a sad damper on what would otherwise be an exciting time. Yet, to keep us somewhat on track there is speculation that Brock Lesnar may be in attendance tonight.   It’s hard to say in what capacity and he wasn’t officially advertised but we’ll see if they bring him in as a distraction at the very least.   Also, Renée Young gets a shot at Commentary tonight as she fills in for Jonathan Coachman.   Hope she has fun with that.   In addition, on the docket tonight The B-Team find themselves in a tag-tea

Rules GOT to Be Extreme If This Show Is Gonna SmackDown...

And they get broke anyway too 😉 Greetings Enthusiasts! A Good Tuesday to you.   So, SmackDown offers up its Go-Home tithe and RAW , for once, doesn’t leave much for them to clean-up.   They actually have to stand on their own and make us want to tune in on Sunday.   So, how are they gonna do that?   Well, The Miz is set to interview Team Hell No on MizTV.   Not sure how that will go down….flames seem more likely than not but I could be wrong.    But, i f fire does break out, perhaps it could light up the rivalry smoldering between Cien Almas and Sin Cara.   For Cien’s sake he better hope so.   Still more intrigued by his manager than him.   Haven’t been impressed.   Also, Tye Dillinger will get some air time and try to hold his own against big, bad Samoa Joe.   Asuka is going to finish up her unfinished business with James Ellsworth as they lock horns in a Lumberjack Match.   And AJ Styles and a recovered(?) Shinsuke Nakamura will loosen each other up with a non-title match

RAW Is So Extreme...It Doesn't Need Any Rules...

Image
It’s just a few steps away from Anarchy! 😉 A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! We are “going home” tonight as RAW gets us all hot & bothered for Extreme Rules this Sunday.   There aren’t any advertised matches but we are given a few points to consider.   Did Kevin Owens get sick after his little ride in the porta-potty?   Can't be very sanitary.   How will Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns get along tonight?   Get the feeling the “coin toss” is gonna go Lashley's way.   Is Reigns gonna get pissy about it or is he really going to do something?   And how will Finn Bálor fair against a new and lofty Constable Baron Corbin?   We’ll see if he’ll overcome the big bully. Yet, what most may be and may not be waiting for is the continuation of the therapy sessions with Dr. Shelby for Sasha Banks and Bayley.   Now, the first episode wasn’t bad.   The questions come in the forms of will this be funny or will they attempt some true “healing”.   I’m not sure how seriously thi

Now SmackDown Can Make Their Move...

Good Evening, Enthusiasts! Well, RAW wasn’t terrible but definitely subpar for a WrestleMania go-home show.   Thing is, that wouldn’t be the first time.   Nevertheless, though I’m not exactly buzzing as we head into Sunday, I get the feeling SmackDown has received these notes and will string together something that at least enables us to keep some faith alive and WrestleMania will be the biggest show of the year as it aims/claims to be each year. Now, I’ll be honest.   I’m relatively new to the actual “WrestleMania” experience.   Growing up, no one would ever spend money on that so, I got a look at what clips I could.   Now, that it’s so affordable, I’ve been watching in recent years.   I won’t look at previous ones because I feel that with a genre such as this, the past has to be left there, r espected but never resuscitated.   The content must be current.   Yet, the spirit can still permeate.   That being said, I’m not sure if I’ve yet witnessed a stellar WrestleMania, they are

Now, RAW Enters the Home Stretch to WrestleMania....

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! So, we're heading down the pike towards WrestleMania and we have some suspicions hovering.   First of all, it’s best to mention that there’s talk of a lot of wrestling talent being present at tonight’s RAW.     The likes of Samoa Joe and Jeff Hardy being in attendance have been floating around.   R-Truth and Alicia Fox may be recovered from injuries as well.     Big Show apparently signed a new WWE Contract so, we may see him lumber around again.   There’s also speculation that The UnderTaker will make his appearance to answer John Cena’s challenge.   You understand what time it is, Enthusiasts.   It’s April which means we’re all focused on the real “big show”.   Expect to have some surprises and twists.   The hope is that they get us excited as opposed to skeptical.   The real hype starts now! As for scheduled content, Brock “Gun Jack” Lesnar comes around to dangle the title in Roman Reigns’ face, that is if he’s “able” to witness the t
