  How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? I’ve definitely been better but I can’t complain. So, what’s going on in the Wrestling World? Well, it that much but there’s some speculation going around. Let’s get into it, shall we? Well, it looks like the inevitable is in the works. MJF appears to prepping for his jump to WWE and that seems the next logical step. I have no problem with this. The issue appears to stem from the fact that MJF’s contract isn’t up until 2024 so...talk is a little early. It’s fine to kick around but we’re not there yet. Nevertheless, this may be the time both sides start to flesh out how to cleanly make this transition.  In my mind, the first feud is naturally with The Miz. The similarities are obvious and should be addressed right from the start. Maryse should be the real defining difference. MJF, as of now, has no female counter. What’s Up, Enthusiasts? How you living? Well, this is an interesting Monday because for once it’s tinged with Oscars’ buzz only it’s not because of who won or lost. It’s because Will Smith felt compelled to defend Jada Pinkett’s honor. I heard about it myself so I can’t comment on how I felt when it happened but I have to say I didn’t believe it when I heard it. I figured they were doing some skit.  Yet, Pinkett’s face basically said it all. The joke could be viewed as poor taste but given Chris Rock’s sense of humor, it’s definitely tame for him. I think it would be absolutely hilarious if they can turn this minus into a plus and had a match for Bragging Rights or, or, maybe they could just have a segment where they sling their best burns. It would have to be aboveboard of course, nothing below the waist but if they could properly “singe” each other before having a “real fight” I think they could playfully put the incident behind them. They can slapfight if they want to keep the tone

  How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? So, there’s not that much going on. AEW had a PPV over the weekend but I wasn’t a fan of the blood so I didn’t give it too much attention but it’s generally being praised on social media. I’ll probably check out the Bryan Danielson vs. Jon Moxley match later. Shall we chat about the other goings-on in the meantime? Let’s. So, William Regal has hopped over to AEW as well and was warmly received. Please don’t find me cold but I had very little reaction to the departure of Regal. I had nothing against the man so, naturally it was a little sad to see a good worker go but I went on with my day. It’s nice to see he’s so well-received in AEW. Good luck to the man in his new chapter. In pseudo-WWE  news, the rumor of Cody Rhodes’ return hitting a snag has become the new sentiment of the moment. So, Tony Khan acquired Ring of Honor. I can’t help but feel that benefits the former owner(s) more than AEW. It’s just a feeling but that’s my initial read. ROH was never an elaborate promotion. Yet, that was what was kinda endearing about it. You could see everyone there loved the gig but it’s definitely where you start. No disrespect to lifers but I would imagine the goal would be bigger and better things after a while. We’ll see what AEW does with it. What’s interesting about this is that word is that talks with WWE and Cody Rhodes stalled out as they couldn’t agree on terms so the new rumor is that he may head back to AEW to operate in some capacity with the ROH acquisition. How Are You Doing, Enthusiasts?   Good, I hope. So, not much to chat about today but I can always find something. Let’s chew some of this proverbial fat.   So, we’re all coming to the forgone conclusion that the main titles will be unified at this year’s WrestleMania. However, rumor has it that they will be split again soon after. What’s floating around is that WWE Management feel that they need 2 champions, one for each brand seeing how they're on different networks. I guess this is a way to appease FOX and NBC brass. Don’t ask me how it goes. I’ll be watching along with you.   Another bit of news that caught my eye is all the talk of Mr. Vince McMahon having a match against Pat McAfee. Right off the bat, this sounds like there will be a huge catch and there will be is what I’m hearing. Well, like with everything they try, it’s on them to make it work. A Good Friday to You, Enthusiasts!   I hope it’s going well. So, there are a couple of things of definite note going on in the wrestling world. Let’s not waste any time and have this little chat.   So, let’s start with the news outside of WWE. It appears Tony Khan, owner of AEW, has a “big announcement” that he’s gonna drop on Wednesday (3/2). One of the rumors is that he acquired Ring of Honor. I can’t even contemplate what that could implicate. Not that it’s bad or anything. ROH wrestlers definitely do it for the love of the game so, that would make AEW even more of an alternative to WWE. Not sure if that improves the quality but the roster is sure to have heart. The implications are interesting to ponder. We’ll see what happens.   As for WWE news, the main headline is that Cesaro left the company. Word is he just let his contract expire. This is unfortunate but most of us would say somewhat inevitable. Cesaro, quite frankly, lacked charisma. He’s a great worker. No one h

Happy President’s Day, Enthusiasts!   How is everyone doing? I have to say I’ve enjoyed this day off. It’s been rejuvenating. So, there’s not much going on in the wrestling world but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to talk about. Let’s chat some, shall we?   So, The Elimination Chamber came and went and it was an okay show. Nothing spectacular but not exactly time wasted either. What was most interesting was what wasn’t planned to happen. Seth Rollins tossing Austin Theory into Bobby Lashley’s pod cause the pod to break and resulted in Lashley getting hurt. He’s now out with a shoulder injury. So, that’s the next chapter when Lashley gets back. He’s got some words for Rollins who sidelined his Title run. That’s one thing they don’t have to worry about.   As a consequence of the unexpected injury, Brock Lesnar took it upon himself to bust out his pod and destroy all for the WWE Title. It will now be him and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Though this has happened a few times

  Good Morning, Enthusiasts. Hope it’s a good one. I’ll keep this brief because this is already after the fact and I don’t know what to expect really. Doesn’t mean there aren’t some matches I’m curious about. I’ll be catching up later. Got some other business to tend to but should be available to take this all in this evening. In the meantime, here’s what I want to see. The impromptu tag team match of Ronda Rousey & Naomi vs. Charlotte & Sonya DeVille is a match of note mainly due to the stipulation of Rousey fighting with one hand behind her back. The key here is not making this come off as silly. Not sure they do it but that will be what we watch for. Is this an interesting match or just a hackneyed Management idea? We will see. After that, the next match of interest for me is Lita vs. Becky Lynch. Here, we see if Lita still has it, which it looks like she does, and if Lynch can keep it competitive. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s Go-Home Week for WWE and we’re getting the final wind up for the Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia. There’s a lot of buzz given how the Equal Rights sentiment of women wrestling in the event is gaining social awareness. This is not new but to continue to do so in a land where the rights of women are restricted is always commendable. It’s not as bad as Afghanistan but old traditions are often hard to modernize. It’s one of the few things that WWE has going for it at the moment. Let’s hope the ladies enjoy it.   As for what’s cycling through the grapevine, well Brock Lesnar seems to have captured everyone’s imagination. He was on the Pat McAfee show recently, not sure if that’s why he had to miss his announcing duties but that’s what happened. People are charmed by Lesnar speaking for himself for once and I don’t mind the interest. Some sites bemoan this attention because it tends to highlight the main flaw with WWE and how it pins its hopes

Let’s kick it around a bit, shall we.   So, let’s start with AEW. Word is a lot of 2019 contracts are up soon. AEW will have to make decisions as to whether to let some go or to renew. What’s interesting here is if they get heat for letting contracts expire. WWE was never known for its tact. Will AEW be more gracious as they let some discover new endeavors? We shall see.   Yet, the big AEW acquisition is Keith Lee. I kinda figured since he just got married. Most wouldn’t plan a wedding with no income coming in. Not that he didn’t do well while in WWE but when times are lean, tying the knot often takes a backseat. He had some sort of assurance.   What stuck out to me was that it looks like Lee gained weight. Happy Monday, Enthusiasts.   Don’t groan. It’s another day and therefore another dollar 😉 There isn’t that much going on but there are a few things worth mentioning. Shall we start the informal chat?   Let’s start off with some happier news as Instagram shows that Mia Yim and Keith Lee finally got married. They had the time and made use. I’m happy for them. They seem to fit so, I’m glad they found their happy ending. May their lives be all that their dreams are made of. Best wishes all around.   In the WWE Universe, we have some more typical grumblings but the nature of them makes me wonder. Remember, you can’t fully trust what you come across in this world. That’s the reality of life in kayfabe. At the very least, half of it isn’t real. So, what is everyone grumbling about? This time around, it’s disapproval of Shane McMahon’s behind the scenes behavior.   Good Evening, Enthusiasts. Hope you’re having a great Friday. So, there are some rumblings in the wrestling world. Let’s get into some of it, shall we. Let’s start with the non-WWE rumors. Tony Khan announced on social media that he has some announcements set for tonight’s Rampage . With many former WWE stars’ non-compete clauses expiring this week, the thought is that he’ll be announcing the acquisitions. We’ll see if this helps AEW or gives them more problems. Many fear they’ll start making the same mistakes WWE did by overloading the roster and not having enough for everyone to do. We’ll soon see if they took any notes on what not to do. To straddle the 2 worlds, Brian Kendrick asked for his release from WWE. The request was granted with no non-compete clause. He jumped to AEW only to get himself canceled by old shit circulating online. Well, let that be a lesson. How’s Everyone Doing this Evening?   Well, the Royal Rumble came and went and WWE succeeded in making a mockery of itself yet again. We’ve seen a lot of bad PPVs and unfortunately, that one ends up in that pile. It wasn’t all bad, but it was everything wrong with WWE in a nutshell. The saving grace, the only place they can go is up.   WWE tends to recover when it puts its back up against the wall. The intrigue for tonight’s Fallout Show is how they salvage things. But how did they end up here? It’s simple really, they’re relying on performers who aren’t on the roster full-time. Right there, they’re short-sighted. Even with all the releases they still have like 5o people they need to figure out what to do with and last night confirmed they still have no clue. Never a good look. As I’ve said before, they have the Talent but no Vision. They may have an endgame but it’s still not clear how they get there. This year’s Rumble definitely gives them incentive to start developing those

A Good Saturday to You, Enthusiasts.   The Royal Rumble is upon us yet again and I have no idea what to expect. This will be a short post because of it. There are only 6 matches officially scheduled so, either the Rumbles will be extended affairs or this will be a short PPV.   That’s another reason I don’t have much to say. Not much is actually advertised and as I said last night, that’s not exactly a bad thing. WWE kinda has to start over with its fanbase and simultaneously begin building a new one so, keeping things quiet and just seeing what works is a respectable tactic. Keeps us guessing and we can’t badmouth beforehand. I don’t blame them. They’ve had to clean up their own mess for a while. They won’t overtly admit it, but we should see stuff like this going forward for the time being, light advertising and the surprise factor. They’re going to hope word of mouth brings people around on curiosity.   So, all that said, I just hope for a fun time tonight. Royal Rumbles
