SmackDown Gives Us a Lift to Survivor Series...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   Everyone still hanging in there? Kinda have no choice, right? Well, the WWE Universe has some news circulating. I just find it interesting that it revolves primarily around alumni. The first bit of big news is Renée Paquette is with child. I was watching AEW when Jon Moxley casually dropped the news. If I was drinking something, I would have spit it out. There was actually a tweet of Paquette’s that came through my feed a few months ago when she declared she just threw up. Naturally, everyone supposed it was morning sickness. Looks like the assumptions may have been correct or at the very least it was a sort of foreshadowing. Regardless, I’m nothing but happy for them. To be honest, this sort of thing I hope paves the way for the both of them to return to WWE but for now, let us just wish them well.   The other overlying theme of this week besides Survivor Series is The Undertaker. This marks his 30 years in the business as well. I was even tasked w

RAW Charges Into Survivor Series!!!!

Good Evening, Enthusiasts.   How’s everyone doing? Good I hope, you know everything considered. So, what’s happening in the WWE Universe? Well, fallout over Zelina Vega’s dismissal continues. Rumors floating around suggest the WWE Roster’s feathers are ruffled, especially those who don’t get on TV much. There’s a post on Reddit that claims Vega made more money with Twitch than with WWE. If that’s true, it’s easy to see why there’s some mild unrest. Times as they are, wrestlers gotta eat too. WWE is getting a lot of flak for coming off greedy. Personally, I think WWE’s only real argument is Kayfabe. The 3 rd Party action going unregulated could compromise what’s supposed to be in play. I think if they develop protocols under which to engage 3 rd Party sites and take a minimal percentage, the disquiet could be settled down but it’s hard to know what’s really going on. That’s what I’d do for what it’s worth.   In other news, Chelsea Green’s debut appears over before it even got

SmackDown Can Just SmackDown Tonight. RAW Picked Up After Themselves...

Hello Enthusiasts, Happy Friday! Well, let’s get right into it because we have some stunning news floating around. Word on the street is that Zelina Vega was suddenly released from WWE. Now, I have a sneaking suspicion that this may be a work but it’s looking pretty official. I just hope that doesn’t mean Aleister Black is soon to follow. Someone please get word to him that if he wants to stay relevant, he’ll have to come up with a game plan for himself. WWE clearly doesn’t know what to do with him. This is what I’m saying people. Don’t expect too much from WWE. The wrestlers have to find their own way and hopefully the creative department can fill in the blanks but if they expect them to “show them the way” their looking in the wrong direction. I hope Vega finds what really enriches her. The speculation regarding Vega’s release alludes to her setting up an Only Fans account in the face of WWE trying to get control of everyone’s 3rd Party content. She was clearly going against company

RAW Attempts to Show They Can Clean-Up After Themselves...

A Good Evening to You, Enthusiasts? How are you doing? It’s all a bit different but the same, isn’t it? Personally, I’m surprised that Joe Biden won the election. I was prepared for the worst in a Trump re-election. Almost don’t know what to do with it. I try to keep politics out of the blog and stuff just for a sort of peace of mind. I look at my joy of wrestling as an escape. Yet, every now and then, it’s good to just voice an opinion. Here’s what I’ll say on the current state of affairs. Take note of how close this election was. Half the populous wants to keep things “The Old Way”. No one should be surprised that the majority of the Red States remained red. All that says to me is one should be aware if one ever travels this country. Be mindful of where you are going to. Be it blue or red state, the people there want it that way. Book your reservations wisely. All right, back to wrasslin’ so, we’ll start with Paige this week. Poor thing. She’s having a bit of a tough go, isn’t she?

Looks Like SmackDown Is Back on Clean-Up Duty...

How Are You Doing, Enthusiasts? Man, this country… And people wonder why the world thinks Americans are stupid. But I’m sure you’ve heard enough about politics so let’s get into our escape pastime. So, I look around and look around and I notice that Jon Moxley is kindly doing fans like me a solid. He spoke to Sporting News recently in regards to treating wrestling fans with more respect. You know, there have been plenty of times that I’ve questioned doing this blog. If you look through my history, you’ll see that I’ve even stopped it or changed the format. It’s definitely not the way it started but that came from my expanding understanding of WWE and pro-wrestling in general. I did take it a little too seriously at first. But as I began to realize that my calls for better content were unrealistic I eased my stance. Understand, I’ve consistently watched RAW and SmackDown for the past 6 years. If they knew how to create better content, they’d be doing it. We all have to accept tha

SmackDown Had Its Turn. What Say You, RAW?...

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts! I know we’re supposed to hate them but given the circumstances are they really so bad? Anyway, let’s see what’s going on in the WWE Universe. Well, rumors continue to circulate about a Roman Reigns vs. The Rock showdown. You already know that I think that’s a bad idea. On top of that, what’s also going around is that there are plans for The Usos to “bend the knee” to Reigns and form a heel stable. I think if they do go in this direction, they should include Tamina, Nia Jax and Naomi. What I’m getting at is that if they’re going to go this family route, they should just commit and go the family route. Being at loose ends is what invalidates their attempts at creativity. There’s just a general lack of continuity so it’s just hard to believe in the first place. That’s why so many ideas come and go and stories get dropped. They probably shouldn’t have been tried in the first place because they weren’t thoroughly thought out. So, if they’re going to be that la

Can SmackDown Keep Up the Good Work? Let's Hope So...

How’s Everyone Doing This Friday? You all hanging in there? Keep your chins up. This is one those times when it’s best to persevere. Well, there are some rumblings in the wrestling world but only a couple things caught my interest. Let’s get right into it, shall we. So, Paige is getting a lot of press as she has bared her true feelings on how WWE is commandeering everyone’s third party accounts.   Paige has made it clear that her Twitch channel has been therapeutic in helping her deal with not being able to wrestle. She feels wronged in this matter. Can’t really blame her. She’s just trying to keep herself sane. Well, she’s free to take my idea of joining up with Mustafa Ali.   Looking at what they’re doing with RETRIBUTION, it’s no worse an idea than what's already in play. They could establish a presence that could outlast their careers. Couldn’t hurt to try. There is the off chance they could be ahead of us for once and this could possibly be a work…what, expecting too much fr

RAW Is Set for Quite a Bit of Fallout - HIAC and All...

Oh My Goodness, Enthusiasts! Hell in a Cell was certainly something.   It wasn’t the best something but it wasn’t all bad.   Nevertheless, it looks like a lot of fans didn’t care for it.   Numbers are generally down comment wise on Twitter, Reddit, Facebook and wherever else people like to post their opinions.   General consensus is showing that Sasha Banks and Bayley had the match of the night with Roman Reigns and Jey Uso coming up second.   I was proud of Banks and Bayley.   They delivered hands down.   So nice to see them both evolve so impressively.   As I keep saying, the women are underutilized.   Hopefully, this showing gets them some more action. As for Reigns and Jey, oi. I appreciate the attempt at telling a story but again, they leave themselves open to painting themselves into a corner. Is anyone going to reprimand Reigns for tossing a referee out of the match?   These sorts of loose ends are what undermine the credibility of these sorts of matches. It just gets ridicu

Hell in a Cell 2020 - No Matter How You Cut It, It's a Doozy...

How Is Everyone This Sunday? Ready for Hell in a Cell? Well, I can’t say I’m not curious. Yet, as usual, I won’t speculate too much on what may happen but I’m sure we’re curious about the same matches. So, to get right into it, the first match of interest is Sasha Banks and Bayley.   Since they haven’t had much actual wrestling time, I’ll be looking to see if they come off rusty. I don’t expect a bad match but since this has been so heavily acted, this may become more of a spectacle than a match. This is not a bad thing if they keep it entertaining. I’m anticipating a lot of weaponry is going to be used, chairs, kendo sticks, someone may go through a table. It doesn’t matter who wins though, if Bayley retains, I hope there’s a long term plan for her.   This past week’s SmackDown was very promising. One of the better shows they’ve had in quite some time. It looks like the word to push back is getting to the wrestlers and who can blame them? Who wants to look bad in public? Hopefull

SmackDown Brings It Home. You Know, Because Hell in a Cell Awaits...

A Good Friday to You, Enthusiasts! How are you doing?   Well, I continue to not complain…I’m actually acclimating to quarantine life.   Miss doing stuff, though.   I’ll admit that.   I like county fairs. Anyway, back to the WWE Universe. In all honesty, a lot of the talk will be about AEW.   Let’s not lie and say the 2 aren’t affiliated.   As much as Chris Jericho and all others who feel disillusioned with WWE continue to talk their shit, they all can’t deny they’d probably come back under the right offer.   In Jericho’s case, he’d have to have creative control.   Yet, news wise, a few things popped up.   First let’s get to the not so flattering stuff.    AEW showed themselves to be a little sloppy this week.   An Alex Reynolds got knocked out during an 8-Man-Tag and the ref failed to notice .   Tsk-tsk-tsk.   They should be more careful about stuff like that.   I’m not sure where one goes to acquire a pro-wrestling referee but they may want to either better train theirs or look fo
