SmackDown Had Its Turn. What Say You, RAW?...

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts!

I know we’re supposed to hate them but given the circumstances are they really so bad? Anyway, let’s see what’s going on in the WWE Universe.

Well, rumors continue to circulate about a Roman Reigns vs. The Rock showdown. You already know that I think that’s a bad idea. On top of that, what’s also going around is that there are plans for The Usos to “bend the knee” to Reigns and form a heel stable. I think if they do go in this direction, they should include Tamina, Nia Jax and Naomi. What I’m getting at is that if they’re going to go this family route, they should just commit and go the family route. Being at loose ends is what invalidates their attempts at creativity. There’s just a general lack of continuity so it’s just hard to believe in the first place. That’s why so many ideas come and go and stories get dropped. They probably shouldn’t have been tried in the first place because they weren’t thoroughly thought out. So, if they’re going to be that lazy, might as well keep things simple and to the point. If you’re part of the Bloodline, you’re part of the Bloodline. Once they have this stable established, they can have storylines concerning fracturing and acquisitions in the future but for now, they should do themselves a favor and include whoever is related, however they care to recognize them. All the alumni are “Elders”. Get that nice and etched in our heads and then elaborate from there. Let’s just see if they can do that before we speculate anything else.

The other talking point going around is the romantic storyline concerning Murphy and Aliyah. She’s 19 and he’s 32. So, that’s a 13 year age difference. Personally, if the age difference negates the possibility of parentage, I don’t mind it. Yeah, it’s a little pervy but only in concept. It hasn’t been portrayed in an uncouth manner. If anything, as far as we’ve seen, Murphy has been a gentleman. What people should really be talking about is what the endgame is. That’s what’s going to sink this ship. There’s not much they can do other than have Aliyah serve as a distraction one way or another in matches. Don’t be surprised if she just stops showing up.

And so, for tonight’s RAW we got a few things to look forward to. Randy Orton is going to find a new beef. Jeff Hardy and Elias will have themselves a “Guitar on a Pole” match. Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke will see if they can take a bite out of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. And The New Day will see if they can stave off Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander of The Hurt Business. I wonder if The Hurt Business is ever going to accept a member who isn’t African-American. I think that could be an interesting angle if they remain tasteful about it. As it stands, you’d think they’d try to acquire The New Day. That can be perceived as mildly racist. We all know WWE isn’t known for its tact. Hopefully, The Hurt Business has the final say in that regard. In any case, funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, well…we’ll have to see. We’re in that no-man’s land before the PPV so it’s hard to know what to expect. Remain constructive in your criticism but do speak up. It’s the only way to turn the tide.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
