RAW Is Now in Conservation Mode. Must Prepare...
A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts!
So, we open this Monday with a palm to the face as we hear Jeff Hardy gets himself into trouble with a DWI (Driving While Impaired) arrest over the weekend so, his fate is currently in limbo as the matter is investigated. I hope this blows over. We all know that the WWE doesn’t have the most reputable of rosters but this is more “rapscallion” type of behavior. Hopefully, Jeff knows better overall.
In any case, with FastLane complete, we turn back to RAW to continue our march to WrestleMania. We have just about a month to go and so, expect the WWE to pace us a bit, treat this a like a marathon and the start gun went off yesterday. So, we’ll see Roman Reigns face Brock Lesnar another time in the ring. Let’s hope we actually want to see what happens. We remember the last tug-o-war all too well and would rightly “boooo...” something similar. Whatever they do, I just hope it’s fun. With this day and age, going for the hard edge just seems silly. Though Lesnar is the “Beast Incarnate”, we know this is fake and don’t really want to see true carnage so, whatever transpires has to keep that all in mind. Too hard and we scoff. Too light and we roll our eyes. It’s a delicate balance so, I suggest going for “anticipated excitement”. We want to get ready. We want to get antsy but so far, we don’t know why we would. Give us something to get amped about and we may just get to like the match-up. I know, probably easier said than done.
Besides that, we have Bayley and Sasha Banks contemplating their friendship. Can it survive the competition that WrestleMania conjures? Meanwhile, Braun Strowman is going to stomp around looking for something to demolish. Ronda Rousey will see if she feels bad about how she acted towards Stephanie McMahon and we will see if Matt Hardy distracts us from his brother and finally “deletes” Bray Wyatt. We’ll have to wait and see, Enthusiasts. Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites they’re not impossible but sometimes the stars do have to align.
