MITB Was Great Fun!...RAW, How Do You Expect to Keep the Partying Going?...

A Merry Monday, Enthusiasts!

My goodness!  Money in the Bank was a lot of fun.  See what a little bit of polish can do.  This seems like a real wrestling establishment for like the first time in maybe ever.  I’ll always love the Attitude Era but you got to admit, it wasn’t great television.  It was great trash television…big difference.  MITB was the best bit of television the WWE has presented potentially, ever.  Yes, there were some goofy bits but that comes with this wacky universe.  It has its own sense of humor.  The cameos, for the most part, went over my head but what I enjoyed is that it looked like everyone who participated had a blast.  That’s the sort of thing that has to happen if we’re to get the best out of the roster.   It can’t feel too much like work.  That’s why some of us are so envious of the players.  We have to go to work for a living, they get to go have fun for our amusement.  Last night was a fine example of it.  I hope they can keep this up whether there’s a live audience or not.

The standouts were many.  I have to say Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre certainly didn’t fuck around.  Bayley and Tamina’s match was way better than I would have even anticipated.  Would have liked Tamina to pick up the win but as long as she gets it before she hangs it up, I’ll be satisfied.  Braun Strowman also impressed showing that he’s not all muscle.  There’s a brain in there too.  As for the Ladder Matches, that was tons of fun.  Definitely have to give it to Asuka for slapping Baron Corbin into next week and nods to Rey Mysterio and Aleister Black for getting thrown overboard.  It’s good to know that people are good sports, Black especially.  He could easily get portrayed too seriously but his reactions were gold.   It’s was great!   This is so promising.  Looks like someone scared Creative straight.  For the first time in a long while the WWE is going in the right direction.  Thought they’d be mired in their own delusions of grandeur forever.  Now, they can actually get somewhere in this New Era.

So, tonight we’ll get an idea of what that might mean.  Apparently, Becky Lynch has big ole bomb to drop on us.  Edge and Randy Orton are tired of staying shacked up at home so they’re going to reignite their beef now that SummerSlam is the next big one to look forward to.  It’s hard to say if they’ll do anything for June.  I’m in no rush for this to get sorted out, to be honest.  In light of the circumstances, the key is to move forward safely.  Hopefully, there can be a live audience but accept that the WWE may have to plan for either or both.  As much as I love this crazy universe, I don’t need anyone to risk themselves for my entertainment.  Waiting until they can move forward in good faith will always be good enough for me.  They actually have something to work with for once.  I wouldn’t dream of spoiling the potentials.  And so, for tonight, funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, well, it could be months until another PPV.  Don’t expect much but don’t expect it to be awful, too many people sitting at home for that.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
