RAW Sends Everyone Home to Go to Money in the Bank (London)...

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts.

Hope it’s treating you well. As for the Wrestling World, there’s some chatter with AEW having had its Forbidden Door PPV last night. There’s a little bit going on in the WWE Universe as well but let’s start with AEW.

So, in the Realm of AEW, we got a look at their “A Game” and from what glimpses I caught, it was all right. Most onlookers praised the match between Will Osprey and Kenny Omega. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say Osprey was auditioning for WWE but I could be wrong. I remembered him with a slimmer physique but he appears to have bulked up in recent years.

I don’t know if WWE fans would care about him but he did make a compelling argument from what I saw. He does know how to get a response from the crowd. Yet, you know us. We don’t care for blood and it did get “brutal”. It was clear that Omega was the Face in their bout. I respect Omega but he comes off too corny for my taste. I’m not sure how a WWE crowd would receive Osprey but he looked ready for mainstream recognition. We’ll see if he ever makes the transition.

Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan also had a match last night and though he was able to battle through, word has it that he suffered an arm fracture for all his trouble. It’s believed he’ll be out 6-8 weeks. We never like hearing that about Bryan. Let’s wish him a speedy recovery. He could probably use the time off anyway to rest up in general.

CM Punk also was in action last night but it’s looking like Chicago is the only town that loves him. A lot of boos accompanied him prompting people to brace themselves for a Heel Turn. Well, I’ve been saying he should humorously angle to be the “Scourge of Wrestling”. Let’s see if he takes the idea and runs with it. Could be a lot of fun if done right.

In the WWE Universe, there’s talk that we may be able to anticipate a couple of returns in the near future. Kurt Angle said on his podcast that Randy Orton should be recovered and could be back very soon. Also, reports seem to allude to Drew McIntyre coming to some sort of agreement over his contract. Many feel he’ll probably make an appearance during or around Money in the Bank. We’ll  be watching.

Speaking of MITB, there’s a lot of talk about LA Knight winning the Ladder Match. I have to admit, he’s suddenly started to find his stride. I didn’t get him at first but he’s definitely a talker but the ultimate question is can he back his mouth up? The other side of the argument is that he’s “old” but most of the main players are over 35. Let’s just face it, WWE runs a bit mature and that’s all right.

This is the main reason I don’t see types like Austin Theory and Dominik Mysterio really getting their due for another 5-10 years. The WWE Universe, though essentially 15th Grade, it is a reflection of the world at large. Who listens to anyone under 30? Honestly. I always wanted to be at least 30 because then I would be a woman. Until then, you’re just a kid and you don’t know nothing about nothing. They may give you more credit abroad but not in the US. It takes a good solid 30 years of walking to start to have a clue and that’s if you’re lucky. Lot of dumb-dumbs walking about over here.

Regardless, I don’t think Knight’s age should be the defining factor. It should be his performance. If he can perform like he’s a contender then he’s a contender. Right now, all I know is that he can rock the mic. His ring work is alright. I don’t expect to see him pull Ricochet type moves but he’s gonna have to nail his spots and entertain if he really wants the glory. If he hits the mark, he hits it. If he doesn’t, he doesn’t. It shouldn’t matter if he’s 67 😉

And so, that brings us to tonight’s RAW. It’s Go Home action as everyone will be packing up and shipping off to London later in the week to prepare for this year’s Money in the Bank on Saturday. For tonight we can settle in for the likes of Bayley, Becky Lynch, Iyo Sky, Zoey Stark, Trish Stratus and Zelina Vega convening to try to get into each other heads one last time before Saturday. Dom will try to say something to Cody Rhodes. And Seth Rollins will comment on Finn Bálor doing everything short on running him down in the street. Just another night in the WWE Universe. You know where to find me.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
