RAW Keeps Heading to Night of Champions Like Nothing's Going On...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s a bit uneasy for us Americans as we all are aware of the conflict in Iran. Word is that Qatari airspace is “closed” at the moment and Qatar shares a border with Saudi Arabia and so, there’s some trickle-down effect circling Night of Champions. Will it still go on? So far, it’s looking like it but a lot of people are wondering if this will be at the cost of civilian life. The situation isn’t ideal but word is that a ceasefire has been issued between Iran and Israel so we’ll see if they’ll honor it.   As of now, plans appear to be holding but if they’re going to change, it will have to be decided before Wednesday because that’s what’s supposed to be the talent travel day. It’s a mixed bag within the IWC. Most feel WWE/TKO will push ahead in the name of money but there is a general sentiment that the show should probably be cancelled in light of these tensions and the US’ questionable involvement.   This is not new territory. SmackDown Keeps Us on Track for Night of Champions...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! So, the Wrestling World has its goings ons but per usual, I’m only interested in a few things. Shouldn’t take too much of your time. Shall we have a little chat? First, we’ll take a brief look at the Realm of AEW as they were in Mexico this week. As you may have figured by now, I’m only interested in the Future, so I had a look at the main event. The implications aren’t immediately clear other than the Riders of Death have to lose some, sometimes. I would say that this Beast Mortos guy was the most impressive, though word of him dating Mercedes Moné has prompted some curiosity. What’s under the mask?!  The joke seems to be he’s a looker but is he? 😉 From what I found online, he’s very okay and a bit thicker than I anticipated but that’s what makes this profession appealing to some. It welcomes a larger frame. In any case, let them carry on. In the WWE Universe, there are few things going on. One that may have more general attention...

RAW Sets Up for Night of Champions...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Having a decent Monday? Well, mine turned out to be a bit fateful. I’ve been planning a move for a while but it is finally coming to be. Looks like I’ll soon be doing a stint in the Inland Empire then going back to the hometown. 2026 should be an interesting year indeed.   As for the Wrestling World, there are a couple things I’d like to touch on. There’s always stuff going on but not always stuff I’m interested in. Let’s get to it, shall we? I’ll try to be brief.   In the Realm of AEW there appears to be some blurring of the lines in effect as word is a crew member filed “assault” charges on Jon Moxley and AEW. What’s being circulated is suspect ‘cause it names “Moxley” as opposed to the government name so, I’m thinking this is a work but I’m not mad at it. When it comes to the Future, it could be the initial shot fired from his detractors. "Someone on the inside" may have planted the seed, sort of thing. He is a “menace”. Will ...

MITB 2025 - SmackDown Fallout....

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s kinda quiet in the Wrestling World at present. That doesn’t mean there’s nothing to talk about. We’ll just keep it short. We’ll start in the Realm of AEW as they graced fans with another 4 hours of programming this week. Naturally, I had to check in to see how the Future is progressing. It appears Adam “Hangman” Page is the next focus for the Riders of Death and Jon Moxley. They essentially kidnapped him and duct taped his mouth to pull him into the ring to tell him how it is. Didn’t stop Page from landing a headbutt, though. I thought he’d be too scrappy for all that but that’s fine. Makes the match to be all the juicier.  Mox continues to “foul balls” into the stands but it was Wheeler Yuta’s little chat with Kris Statlander that was interesting. Could this be a hint of "romance"? Or are the Riders of Death recruiting? Regardless, it’s a nice touch. At some point, this faction ought to implode but that’s certainly for the Future. Who all is...

MITB 2025 - RAW Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying this Monday? I’m making the most of it. I took it off for some personal reasons. Got some stuff I have to tend to but it’s not so much that I can’t keep up with what’s going on. There’s a lot of chatter on the social media but it seems more than ever that most of it’s suspect but we’ve got some talking points anyway, so why don’t we just dive in, hmm? Here we go.   So, Money in the Bank has come and went. The highlight was the return of R-Truth or of Mr. Ron Killings as it appears we’re meant to now call him. The question of the hour seems to be how much of this was a work. Was the release a complete orchestration or was this an organic reversal due to fan pushback?   It's hard to say. I’d say that the timing of his release is a bit suspect. You could say that his match with John Cena was supposed to be the last hurrah but seeing how Killings was used just before the release, you’d think that if it was always intended, K...

Money in the Bank - The Ladder Matches...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Money in the Bank! So, it’s that time again and this one is very much not like any other. We’ve got these new kids that are all extremely talented and the Old Guard can’t be seen. The landscape is changing and what comes to be I can’t exactly say, but it’s that uncertainty that’s exciting. Before, that was what was missing. We all kinda knew what was gonna happen or more importantly, what wasn’t going to happen. Now, who knows. Let’s get into it. I’m just going to focus on the MITB Ladder Matches because everyone else has to make it interesting. Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria have the most work to do if you ask me. With all the other dramatics, they’re becoming an afterthought. That said, we’ll start off with the Ladies’ MITB Ladder Match. We have Alexa Bliss, Giulia, Naomi, Roxanne Perez, Rhea Ripley and Stephanie Vaquer battling for a chance to ruin a Titleholder’s day. Anyone who’s been watching for the past decade will look at this and maybe ...

SmackDown Sets the Final Pieces for MITB...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Money in the Bank Eve. Well, there are a few interesting unverified reports floating around but since they’re more or less just rumor, I’m not sure I’ll comment but we have some things to chat about. Ready to get in to it? Let’s. In the Realm of AEW, they are testing their fans' level of interest as they’re having their Fyter Fest and blessing fans with 4 hours of content on Wednesday nights. We got Part 1 this week and I believe Part 2 is set for next week. I kept my ears open to any good matches to take a look at but to check on the progress of the Future, I had to see how Jon Moxley and his Riders of Death are doing.  I took a look at Mox’s match with Mark Briscoe and I have to say it’s the first time I’ve seen Briscoe’s work up front. He’s a scrappy chap. Briscoe wore the blood this time around and Mox seemed to encourage it even “sup” upon it. Disgusting . 😉 He could be said to be egging on anyone who doesn’t like it and that should b...

RAW Tries to Keep Everyone's Mind on Money in the Bank...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Well, it’s not the cheeriest Monday in the IWC as the WWE Universe seems to be performing a bit of purge when it comes to the roster. That’s basically the big news at the moment but we’ll start with some stuff sitting on the periphery. Ready for it? Here we go.   So, Ric Flair was documented being Ric Flair on Twitter  recently. Unfortunately, it appears his age is starting to show. In an attempt to make some Heel-approved funnies, he ended up demonstrating what it is to be out of touch with an audience, taste-wise. I can see if you’re on his wavelength, you probably would have chuckled but that sort of humor hasn’t been popular for a solid 10 years at least. It could have flown at the start of the 2000’s but not so much anymore. Proper consideration supersedes crass humor these days. We’ll see if the old dog can learn any new tricks but given this display, I wouldn’t hold my breath.   On the administrative end of the W...
