RAW Sets Up for Night of Champions...
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?
Having a decent Monday? Well, mine turned out to be a bit fateful.
I’ve been planning a move for a while but it is finally coming to be. Looks
like I’ll soon be doing a stint in the Inland Empire then going back to the
hometown. 2026 should be an interesting year indeed.
As for the Wrestling World, there are a couple things I’d like to
touch on. There’s always stuff going on but not always stuff I’m interested in.
Let’s get to it, shall we? I’ll try to be brief.
In the Realm of AEW there appears to be some blurring of the lines
in effect as word is a crew member filed “assault” charges on Jon Moxley and
AEW. What’s being circulated is suspect ‘cause it names “Moxley” as opposed to
the government name so, I’m thinking this is a work but I’m not mad at it. When
it comes to the Future, it could be the initial shot fired from his detractors. "Someone on the inside" may have planted the seed, sort of thing. He is a “menace”. Will formalities reign him in? I doubt it and that makes
things interesting. We’ll see if he has to find a suit and go to court.
In the WWE Universe, however, it’s “budget cuts” that have been getting
much of the administrative attention and it’s to the point that even Roman
Reigns has to rethink his salary. There are reports that he may have to renegotiate
his contract given he’s being paid about $15 million to sit around and look
pretty. He wouldn’t be the first but given how good workers are getting
released under that circumstance, I can see WWE wanting to demonstrate some effort
to be generally cost effective.
It's hard to say if there’s any validity to this information but
if there is, I think it gives Reigns a chance to get some subtle good PR. If he
takes a cut without fuss, he could be seen as a “team player”. Less about him
and more about the “we”. Trying to keep good people on the payroll. He should be
doing all right. Hard to get on him for showing some professional
consideration. We’ll see if he ever waves off the gesture in an interview.
In any case, that brings us to tonight’s RAW. It’s all
about Night of Champions now. I see that Goldberg has arrived for that Retirement
Run. You’d think he’d be set to face-off with John Cena at some point but for
now, he’s got his eyes on GUNTHER and his newly re-won Heavyweight Championship.
Kairi Sane will size up Liv Morgan. Bayley and Lady Becky Lynch will kick it “old
school”. Asuka will return to see what these new chicks got going on as she’ll
be in a Queen of the Ring qualifying match alongside Ivy Nile, Raquel Rodriguez
and Stephanie Vaquer. While the men will have Bronson Reed, Rusev, Sheamus and
Jey Uso in theirs.
As You can see, I’m running a bit late tonight. This will pretty much be the case until mid-July due to my moving about. Yet, I’ll get it in so, feel free to be quite leisurely with swinging by. It’ll happen when it happens. The unofficial replay party will be during the 9 o’clock hour. I’ll try to get started before 10pm PDT.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
