RAW Checks to See If It Has Money in the Bank...

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts.   Though, there are some less than pleasant events to discuss. I still want to take a moment to greet you but yes, let’s not dally. Let’s get to what’s happening in the wrestling world.   So, the first piece of unfortunate news is that “Mr. Wonderful”, better known as Paul Orndoff has passed. I am unfamiliar with the gentlemen but many are offering condolences for his passing and so I shall do the same. Sincere condolences to his close relations. Let us hope that he has found some peace in his journey. He wasn’t that old at only 71 but it sounds like a culmination of ailments took their toll. This sort of thing is always too bad.   The other bit of bad news is that Naomi has resorted to deleting her Twitter account in response to cyberbullying. The rumors speak of people blaming her for Jimmy Uso’s troubles. Talk about a load of crap. Jimmy has made it clear that he’ll go and make a mistake, what is she supposed to do about it? He’s a grown-ass-ma

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying your, Friday? I hope so. I have a lot on my plate this weekend but that doesn’t stop me from taking a break for some wrassling. There’s quite a bit to talk about this week. Let’s get into some of the more buzzworthy items.   So, let’s start with the downer first. The documentary on Chyna is out on Vice and I can’t bring myself to watch it. Not sure I ever will. It’s just too sad. She was an unfortunate consequence of the machinations of WWE. I respect that the she should be remembered but, man. The story is depressing. I’d just rather not. Mick Foley gives it his mark of approval though.   In happier news, both Renée Paquette and Brandi Rhodes bore their daughters this week. Congratulations to them both. I won’t presume they’ll grow up to be best friends but their connection will be undeniable regardless. May they be prosperous and healthy.   On the business side of things, the rumor is that USA Network isn’t too pleased with WWE

Final Stretch to WrestleMania, SmackDown Style...

Happy WrestleMania Eve, Enthusiasts!   Are you ready for all the action? We’ve got like 4 days lined up of just WWE going for it so, let’s get into what’s buzzing around so that we can focus.   Well, the kinda big deal is that WWE is attempting to be progressive by naming Sasha Banks and Bianca BelAir as the headliners for Night 1. I actually have an article out that concerns the matter. I’m more on the, “it’s not the right time” fence but I’m glad that some attempt is being made to bring some equality to how matches are presented. Yet, as I surmise in my article, I think they’d want better conditions overall if they were to truly main event. This could be the beginning of times when the best “wrestlers” main event. In that case, it could be by men or women.   I’m all for it. What we want is a good show. If 2 ladies bring down the house, so be it.   The other tease going around is that we could very well see Becky Lynch return to the ring this weekend. This may be a bit

SmackDown Sets Us Up for Elimination Chamber...

A Good Friday to You, Enthusiasts!   How’s everyone doing? Well, there’s not much going on in the wrestling world, well no more than usual but there are few blips that caught my attention. Shall we chat about them?   The first one is more an indication of a long-standing problem in WWE. Word is that Bo Dallas, though still on the WWE Roster, is planning for his life after wrestling, seeing how he might as well anyway. He hasn’t really been on TV since 2019. Now, this isn’t really surprising because he was on the mid-card anyway but again, decent wrestlers are just being paid to sit at home. Tsk-tsk-tsk. What’s the point of a creative department if they aren’t creative? The simplest thing to do is keep him around until Bray Wyatt decides to reinstate the Wyatt Family. Dallas could be a right-hand man type. I know they probably wanted to stay away from that angle to give a Dallas a chance to develop on his own but since that’s only happening in real life, might as well go with th

Happy Friday Enthusiasts,   How is everyone? Well, there’s quite a bit going on in the wrestling world. Let’s get into it, shall we.     So, Brandi and Cody Rhodes are another wrestling couple expecting in the New Year. I don’t know what the word is on the supposed COVID baby boom but it appears to be in full effect in wrestling. Congratulations to them!   In WWE, this Ben Carter that I’ve been hearing about has signed with them after a short stint with AEW. Don’t be surprised if this sort of thing starts to happen more often. Both promotions have their pluses and minuses and a wrestler may start to try them on for size. Just remember, when going to WWE these people need to have a plan for themselves. Success is not guaranteed.   On that note, there’s word that the USA Network isn’t too happy with the low ratings RAW pulled in this week. It wasn’t the worst of their shows. They have definitely had worse showings but after last week’s SmackDown , it became very clear th

SmackDown Gives Us a Lift to Survivor Series...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   Everyone still hanging in there? Kinda have no choice, right? Well, the WWE Universe has some news circulating. I just find it interesting that it revolves primarily around alumni. The first bit of big news is Renée Paquette is with child. I was watching AEW when Jon Moxley casually dropped the news. If I was drinking something, I would have spit it out. There was actually a tweet of Paquette’s that came through my feed a few months ago when she declared she just threw up. Naturally, everyone supposed it was morning sickness. Looks like the assumptions may have been correct or at the very least it was a sort of foreshadowing. Regardless, I’m nothing but happy for them. To be honest, this sort of thing I hope paves the way for the both of them to return to WWE but for now, let us just wish them well.   The other overlying theme of this week besides Survivor Series is The Undertaker. This marks his 30 years in the business as well. I was even tasked w

A Good Friday to You, Enthusiasts! How are you doing?   Well, I continue to not complain…I’m actually acclimating to quarantine life.   Miss doing stuff, though.   I’ll admit that.   I like county fairs. Anyway, back to the WWE Universe. In all honesty, a lot of the talk will be about AEW.   Let’s not lie and say the 2 aren’t affiliated.   As much as Chris Jericho and all others who feel disillusioned with WWE continue to talk their shit, they all can’t deny they’d probably come back under the right offer.   In Jericho’s case, he’d have to have creative control.   Yet, news wise, a few things popped up.   First let’s get to the not so flattering stuff.    AEW showed themselves to be a little sloppy this week.   An Alex Reynolds got knocked out during an 8-Man-Tag and the ref failed to notice .   Tsk-tsk-tsk.   They should be more careful about stuff like that.   I’m not sure where one goes to acquire a pro-wrestling referee but they may want to either better train theirs or look fo

RAW Demands Everyone Go Home for Hell in a Cell! Not Sure How to Respond Since We're Already There...

Hello Enthusiasts! How is this Monday treating everyone?   You know I always wish you well.   So…let’s see what’s circulating shall we?   It’s a little female focused this Monday. To start, Ms. Charlotte Flair made a business move.   She’s been out since July recovering from surgery and avoiding COVID exposure.   That doesn’t mean she can’t attend to other business in the meantime.   She has signed with a sports-oriented agency, VarnerSports.   There have been rumblings that she may branch out into more creative avenues in television and film, this may assist in making that a reality.   There’s also speculation that they will be involved in any subsequent contract negotiations with WWE.   We’ll see if this is the smart business strategy it’s supposed to be.   The other Horsewoman on the bench, Becky Lynch, also has some rumors floating around concerning her timeline back to the ring.   It was reported that she was backstage for last week’s SmackDown .   The word is that managemen

SmackDown Contemplates What to Call This...Summer Slam-Payback, Maybe?

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! I hope it treats you well.   So, what’s circulating in the WWE Universe?    I found it interesting that Wade Barrett found his way back to the WWE halls.   One of the aspects of the WWE Universe is that it is strangely forgiving.   Those who have left often can return…that is if they did so under the right circumstances.   And even in those difficult cases, with the right amount of apology and humility even the most outrageous can be forgiven.   I think CM Punk is a prime example.   When he left it seemed as if someone could get fired just by saying his name, now he’s back on the payroll.   The WWE Universe is the land of many chances. In Barrett’s case, it looks like he’s helping out with kids in NXT.   We’ll see if he ever challenges Baron Corbin to get the King of the Ring Title back. As for tonight’s Fallout/Go Home Smackdown , we have Roman Reigns’ return to television to look forward to.   I’ll admit I am one of the many who have missed his presence

Summer Slam Nailed It! Can RAW Continue the Trend...

H ow Are You All Doing, Enthusiasts? Enjoy Summer Slam? Before we get into all that, let’s get the current WWE Universe news/rumors out of the way.   So, it looks like it’s official.   Renée Young is leaving the WWE for greener pastures and I have to say, we were lucky to have her for as long as we did.    Her sweet disposition and lovely form could easily charm anyone and I’m sure she’ll find success wherever she ends up.   Naturally, there’s speculation that we may see her on AEW, making it easier to maintain her marriage with Jon Moxley but personally, I think she can do better.   There’s word that FOX Sports may have some plans for her and I hope that’s so, FOX or ESPN.   She should do some real world work, really build her resume and once she’s done some fit for real Journalism, maybe we could again be so lucky to be graced with her presence.   May she find the best in her future endeavors. Now, let’s get into Summer Slam.   It was actually a solid show.   It was like 90% dece

So, SmackDown Drops Us Off at Summer Slam...

A Good Friday to You, Enthusiasts! Here we are at the Go Home Show for Summer Slam and we have a new Thunderdome experience to look forward to.   So far, the reports appear more favorable than not so it may not be a total loss.   We’ll have to see if they make good use of it.   It’s quite clear there’s some “housecleaning” going on for WWE.   It may not be until next year that we can get a clear idea of how things are going.   Be patient.   These are indeed uncertain times. In other WWE News, well we’ve all heard about Sonya DeVille and the home invader.   Ghastly, but there are rumors going ‘round saying that DeVille’s guest was Mandy Rose.   I hope this isn’t true, only because it makes the whole thing come off like a work and I wouldn’t want to trivialize an actually grave situation.   News outlets are sticking to “a guest” but wrestling sites are spreading around it was Rose.   If it was, I hope they never confirm. Now, back to Summer Slam, it’s hard to say what to expect.

So, It's Looking Like It's Best to Follow RAW on the Road to Summer Slam...

Happy Monday to You, Enthusiasts! How is everyone?   So, I got to get right to it and eat my words as my presumption about the WWE filming location change was incorrect.   What is supposedly going on is that the Amway Center is supposed to allow for COVID filming essentially.   Since a big part of the wrestling experience involves crowd participation, WWE is trying to find a substitute for no live audience.   To have affiliated parties serving as a stand-in crowd kind of defeats the purpose.    Who knows how paying customers will respond.   If you work for the company, you’re naturally going to play along as instructed.   It’s hard to get a genuine response.     The Amway Center will better allow for a “virtual experience”.   The WWE can better fabricate a “live experience” or at least an engaging one as we wait out the pandemic.   I’ll have to see what they come up with before I can comment.   Someone being out there currently is better than no one at all but if they can throw in so
