RAW Only Focuses on the Agenda. That Agenda Currently Is Money in the Bank...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Well, I hope. So, this hasn’t been the easiest week for WWE fans but as per usual, life carries on. Let’s see what’s going on, generally speaking, shall we?   So, Mr. Vince McMahon’s appearance on SmackDown served the ratings purpose but many feel it was in poor taste. Well, if WWE’s legal and PR team are any good, those who are feeling bent out of shape may want to reconsider where they are placing their energy. In all likelihood this all blows over. If the lady in question has no issue, there is no issue. More than likely, this sort of thing won’t happen again with the current WWE brass so this is going to be treated like some dirty laundry that got aired. Let’s not fool ourselves and think they don’t have tons of that lying around. If you didn’t know that, consider yourselves informed.   In other news, Sasha Banks is still officially on the WWE roster. Could all this actually be a work after all? Suppose it’s too soon to say but I would dea

And Now, Money in the Bank...

A Good Sunday to You, Enthusiasts!        It’s Money in the Bank and again, it feels like all others no longer matter. Now, when I say that, it doesn’t mean they have no weight. They serve as WWE history so there’s importance but given everything, they don’t seem very relevant. We are in a new space. The pandemic has changed the landscape and WWE’s recent moves have definitely also changed it. It definitely feels more like that was then and this is now. It’s kind of exciting. It’s been the same for so long and now it really feels reset. This is a new beginning, my friends whether anyone realizes it or not.   But enough pontificating. It is Money in the Bank just the same and it’s harder than ever to decipher what may happen. With fans back and AEW creeping up, WWE has true incentive to up its game and this gives us, the fans, plenty to look forward to and it couldn’t have come at a better time.   WWE has been getting thoroughly dragged on Social Media. Mainly due to RAW bei

SmackDown Reminds Us What a Go Home Show Is for Money in the Bank...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts!   This Friday treating you well? The excitement is on a slow boil because with the state of the wrestling world as it is presently, there’s going to be a lot of waiting and seeing for the rest of the year. Call it the beauty of honest competition. With AEW finally breaching a million viewers on Wednesday, WWE has to make sure AEW stays 2 nd . Whether anyone likes it or not, WWE inadvertently forced its own hand. It’s smarten up or get left behind.   But before we get into all that, let’s chat about what’s wafting through the grapevine. To start, some happy news as the longtime bachelor in Sheamus has decided to settle down with his lady love in Isabella Revilla. I’m quite happy for the couple. May their lives together be blessed. Congratulations to them!   What you don’t need me to tell you is that this has been an exciting week because it alludes to fans being at shows again. We now are all on the same page about how necessary having a live aud

RAW Checks to See If It Has Money in the Bank...

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts.   Though, there are some less than pleasant events to discuss. I still want to take a moment to greet you but yes, let’s not dally. Let’s get to what’s happening in the wrestling world.   So, the first piece of unfortunate news is that “Mr. Wonderful”, better known as Paul Orndoff has passed. I am unfamiliar with the gentlemen but many are offering condolences for his passing and so I shall do the same. Sincere condolences to his close relations. Let us hope that he has found some peace in his journey. He wasn’t that old at only 71 but it sounds like a culmination of ailments took their toll. This sort of thing is always too bad.   The other bit of bad news is that Naomi has resorted to deleting her Twitter account in response to cyberbullying. The rumors speak of people blaming her for Jimmy Uso’s troubles. Talk about a load of crap. Jimmy has made it clear that he’ll go and make a mistake, what is she supposed to do about it? He’s a grown-ass-ma

SmackDown Has Much to Consider Prior to MITB...

A Good Friday to You, Enthusiasts.   I hope it finds you well. So, there’s quite a bit to talk about in the wrestling world this week. Let’s not dally, shall we.     The first matter of business, Aleister now Malakai Black is now All Elite. Well, when I first saw this I was a bit downhearted but now I feel this is a new beginning across the board. Why, you ask? Well, it’s simple. The move has caught the wrestling world’s attention and with WWE’s numbers going in the wrong direction and apparently out of ideas, they now have no choice but to prove they’re the promotion to beat. What’s interesting is that they may have already beaten themselves. I’ve said before how AEW is nothing but an amalgamation of all WWE’s failures. Black is yet another example. What they may not realize is that this obvious truth could serve as proof that WWE lost its own script some time back. If they’re nothing but a revolving door, we shouldn’t expect much from them. Somewhere in that organization, som

Happy Independence Day, Enthusiasts!   Yes, it was yesterday but we’re observing the holiday today, aren’t we. That’s why so many are at home at the moment. I’m making the most of it. I hope you are too.   So, what’s buzzing in the wrestling world? Well, we all saw that Zelina Vega has returned to the WWE fold. Does that mean Aleister Black will soon follow? Well, word is we shouldn’t hold our breath. According to his recent Twitch statement, he’s not in any hurry to return but I hope that’s just what he’s saying to maintain a sense of suspense. I’ve said AEW would be glad to have him but I don’t know if that’s the best move for him. I take a look at AEW from time to time just to see if it measures up to some of the hype I witness on the Social Media platforms and to be honest, I feel Black is simply too good for them. I feel the same way about Pac too. We know how his stint went with WWE and he had every right to leave but now, I think if WWE has any good sense of its own, it

SmackDown Aims to Make a Reduction for Money in the Bank

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts.   You can color me vaccinated. Not that it matters that much but I got my last shot today and so far so good outside of a little arm soreness. Hopefully, that’s the worst of it. Anyway, we’ve got a few things to chat about in the wrestling world. Let’s knock it around, shall we.   So, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins legalized their union. They are now Mr. & Mrs. Congratulations to the young family! I got a good feeling about them. They appear to be together for the right reasons and I think they’ve already passed the 2 year mark in terms of being an item so, there’s a good chance it lasts for a least a good while. May it be until death do they part but you know, I’m not going to be surprised if something more realistic transpires down the line. Let us just wish them well.   Not too surprisingly, Roman Reigns redirected focus back to kayfabe by starting to make outrageous claims about how awesome he is. I love a deluded heel. That’s entertainmen

Well, the Date for Money in the Bank Is Here. Think Most of This Has Already Been Decided....

A Good Sunday to You, Enthusiasts! Are we ready for Money in the Bank?   This is one of the more intriguing PPVs simply due to circumstance.   WrestleMania worked with an editing treatment so what will they do with MITB?   Well, what we have to hope for is that they don’t overdo it.   WrestleMania was handled tastefully.   What we don’t want is the action getting overshadowed by flashy editing and potential special effects.   What the WWE brings is more or less akin to the circus.   Now the circus concept has been refined more to the Cirque du Soliel sort of presentation in response to the humane treatment of animals.   Wild animals probably shouldn’t be trained for our amusement but since we humans have the ability to consent to spectacle, we are now the ones who subject ourselves to it.   It’s only fair.   So, the WWE shouldn’t ever want to lose a live audience but given times like these we must all become adaptable so this is the WWE’s test to see if it can produce good content li

SmackDown Does Its Duty and Prepares Us for Money in the Bank...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   How’s everyone doing?   Still sane, I hope.   So, SmackDown now has to provide its offering for Money in the Bank and before we get into that, I feel I just have to comment on the end of this week’s RAW .   It’s clear that most don’t really care for this observation be it due to its potential controversy or not but, Drew McIntyre was quite, “off-brand” if you get my drift.   Now, I don’t mind this, mind you but the point I’m ultimately making is one of consent.   One should choose an alternative lifestyle not administer it.   Now, I understand that the hetero-normative way of life could be said to have been imposed but it concerns the propagation of human life, not a person’s right to choose one’s lifestyle.     I only make this statement because though he and Buddy Murphy went on well after the little kiddies had gone to bed, the clear demonstration of domination/submission could be debated in terms of appropriateness.   One must be able to choose this

RAW Asks Who's Interested in Money in the Bank?...

Image
Good Evening, Enthusiasts! Still quarantined?   Yup, me too.   Well, we’ve made it to RAW’ s Go Home Show for Money in the Bank but it appears that not too many people care as the ratings remain low.   When I think about this, I can attribute this to many things.   Many would state the seemingly obvious by railing on the content but for once, I can’t really complain about it.   I know we’ve all suffered through worse and the numbers were better then.   So, how should we interpret this?   Well, first of all, let’s consider circumstances.   Perhaps some simply don’t care for watching wrestling without the audience.   I do admit, it’s like a well-cooked meal that needs some salt or maybe a bit more pepper.   Yet, I like the action enough to keep tuning in.   I can accept that others can’t see the point.   I saw this a bit in myself when I checked in to see how AEW was doing.   Looked like I was watching Ring of Honor.   Both are fine promotions but clearly second rate when it comes to p

Someone Has Got to Put This Money In the Bank!...

Greetings Enthusiasts! A good Sunday to you!   So, we all know why we’re gathered round today, to see if the WWE can get itself together enough to pull off an upset over Game of Thrones.   For those on the West Coast, we shan’t be so torn but the East Coasters may have a decision to make come 6pm. I don’t see the WWE making an overt push to counter as so much, see if G.O.T. does in fact drop the ball and have comparable fair in progress while that is publicly  decided.   I think the WWE has a shot to acquire some interest here if they’re smart in their execution.   Yet, we all know that the WWE has often shot themselves in the foot.   We’ll see if they manage to aim in a different direction. In any case, I won’t run down all the matches just the MITBs and the Title Matches.   When it comes to the titles, I think one will be scrutinizing are the ones with Becky Lynch.   Now, I have nothing against her run but I’m not completely sold on Lynch being this unstoppable force.   I’
