How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Conflicted about the Royal Rumble? I’m not sure you should be. True, there are matters to be considered however, this is supposed to be entertainment. I’m not sure it should carry such weight due to its inherent levity. Why bring the party down? That may be a naive take but I think it is a fair one. Why would you come to the WWE Universe for political discussion? They don’t use their words here.  Regardless, the show will go on no matter how anyone feels so I’ll make the most of it. This is an escape for me. I admit it so I’ll keep leaving the politics at the door. So that leaves the Rumbles. Those are the only matches I’m concerned about. I’m curious about the others and I’ll watch them but it’s the Rumbles we’re here to see so, let’s chat about what may go down.  For the ladies there are about 13 open spots so that’s room for 13 “surprises”. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Royal Rumble Eve. The action will be tape-delayed this evening and I’ll be catching up late tomorrow so, this will be a very leisurely post. That’s the only downside of the Rumble being abroad. It’s hard to have the collective experience but I suppose we should get used to it. Progress dictates that the big shows should expand so, prepare for when WrestleMania and Summer Slam are had on foreign shores. It’s the natural next step.   We’ll get more into the implications later but first, let’s start over in the Realm of AEW as the Future is simmering nicely. This will be a pivotal year for it but the pacing will be key. So far, Jon Moxley continues to entertain takers for the Continental Championship. Anyone who can keep him in the ring for 20 minutes gets a shot and this week’s offering came in the young Ace Austin. It’s the first I’ve seen of the kid and he’s a stocky yet agile thing. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   A Merry Monday to you. So, there’s not much going on in the Wrestling World be we can have brief chat about this past weekend’s Saturday Night: Main Event and the night’s RAW . So, let’s not dally and do this.   Saturday’s SNME was great! It was just a solid show. It was ramped up from the moment someone said “Go!” and didn’t really settle down until it was over. It was a lot of fun. I think it’s a nice touch that Jacob Fatu’s and Cody Rhode’s match never officially got started and they just had it out in the stands which proves my point of how we don’t use our words in the WWE Universe. Scrapping it out is all we understand. It served Drew McIntyre to shut it all down as well. If he’s going to carry this Championship he has to have some clout. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s the first Saturday Night: Main Event of the year and it’s naturally a short card but I got a match that I’m looking at. I think most of us will. So, why don't we break it down. Out of everything, I’m looking at the Fatal-4-Way with Randy Orton, Damian Priest, Trick Williams and Sami Zayn. Who wins it? Well…the shocker would be Zayn. He’s in Montréal, his hometown so they rarely give it to the hometown boy. WWE likes raining on a parade. However, they’d might do it just to drop jaws.  The favorite is Trick Williams. The Crowds have received him surprisingly well. I knew he was popular in NXT but I had no idea it translated. I didn’t even know he was a big guy until he debuted. I was expecting him to be like 5’10. He moves well for his size and he definitely has the mouth. He is basically Rick James’ Nephew. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! Well, there’s not much going on in the Wrestling World but that’s okay. It doesn’t have to be exciting all the time. Makes it more special when it is. I got a couple things to chat about and then it’s off to the weekend. We got some things going on so, let me get to it.   First, let’s stop by the Realm of AEW as we saw the feud of all feuds start up as the Riders of Death exacted revenge on the Don Callis Family on this week’s Dynamite. I have to say I couldn’t be prouder of the display. Everyone went out and nailed the assignment. I have no notes. That was exactly what I was hoping for and I was not disappointed.   You see, when they have fun, we have fun. That was awesome! Everyone came out ready to play and play they did. I appreciated how Callis sat in on Commentary and did all he could to discredit the Riders and Jon Moxley. I just wanted to playfully point out that Mox isn’t a sociopath. I know Callis was jus...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   A good MLK Day to you if you get to celebrate it with a day off. That happens to be my fate at the moment and I have enjoyed the day thoroughly. As for the Wrestling World, it’s fairly quiet at present but I have a couple things to chat about so, let’s get it over with then we can get to lounging however we please.   We start in the Realm of AEW as we check on the percolating Future and I would say the first bubbles have started to rise to the surface. On this weekend’s Collision, we saw Don Callis himself get a few of Jon Moxley’s feathers ruffled. Mox did try to just walk away. I would presume that Mox is fully aware of his… “tendencies”. Yet, taking the High Road did not save him. The Callis Family is large and members were there to greet Mox with what they would feel is a well-overdue beatdown. As for the Wrestling World, there appears to be some movement on the horizon so, that’s something to talk about. Here we go.   In the Realm of AEW, there are always many things going on but we’ll only talk about a couple. As I said last post, there was a showdown between Darby Allin and PAC on this week’s Dynamite and so I sat myself down and watched. It was an impassioned display on Allin’s part. He did get the jump on PAC and keeping him off-balance appeared to be the winning strategy as Allin did take the W in the end. As for the Wrestling World, there’s not a lot going on that’s piqued my interest but we’ve got some stuff to talk about, don’t worry 😉 Without further ado let’s get into it, shall we?   Over in the Realm of AEW, I feel we got some clarification on Jon Moxley’s “status” so to speak. As the Riders of Death in Daniel Garcia, PAC and Wheeler Yuta participated in their version of a 6-Man Tag, Moxley sat in on commentary to talk up his crew and generally lend support. The discourse, to me, made it clear he’s no Face but he’s not exactly a Heel either. I think he’s more or less what he’s always been, Rogue and that’s fine.   I was just pointing out how if he has Face-turned, he’d have to be a better Face and he’s more or less the same as he ever was so if people have grown to appreciate it, I have nothing against it. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! There’s a lot going on stateside so, expect many of us looking forward to a little escape. The WWE Universe gets another taste of Germany as WWE does its European Tour so that will be a nice change of scene. As for the Wrestling World, there’s not much that caught my attention but there’s enough in play to have a brief discussion. Shall we?   We’ll start in the Realm of AEW as they ease into this “age” of a calmer, gentler Jon Moxley. He took on Shelton Benjamin to see if Benjamin could get himself a shot at the Continental Championship and though Benjamin was the better wrestler, he just couldn’t get the job done in the end. You could say he should have zigged when he zagged so it was the sort of loss where it was understandable if he “kicked himself” afterwards.   Mox was sportsmanly enough to offer a handshake after but he wasn’t completely clean in the match. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy first Monday of the year. Feel any different? I don’t know about you but I’m accepting it a lot more than usual. Maybe because of the impending changes that are on the ever-approaching horizon. Whatever it is, I felt more ready for it than usual.
