SmackDown Business Was Running Simultaneously. Look into It...
Good Evening, Enthusiasts!
So, how do you all feel about this SHIELD
Reunion? I noticed that a lot of people
like it but I’m going to guess that the only reason they were brought back
together is to break ‘em up again. Given
Dean Ambrose’s reimagining, I’m thinking that he becomes more SHIELD than ever
while Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins focus more on title runs. I’m seeing Ambrose start to see them like “sellouts”.
They’re not about the Brotherhood anymore, just a paycheck and a gaudy belt. How
Reigns and Rollins respond can vary but that’s where the drama lies. How does the SHIELD progress and evolve if
they are going to survive? Will egos
tear it apart? Personally, I think
Rollins will always be suspect. I think
Reigns’ character fits the “Big Dog” persona a bit too much to turn his back on
the Brothers but Rollins I think will always be out for #1. We’ll see what they do with it. Hopefully they draw it out, add some twists
and turns. Make it feel real.
In any case, we turn to SmackDown as they close this wrestling week and start the lead up
to Hell in a Cell. They don’t have to do
much really. Simply address Summer Slam
fallout and start setting the new beefs to simmer. The most blatant one is Becky Lynch turning
on Charlotte after being denied the Women’s Title. I don’t mind the drama
aspect of this turn but I don’t need Lynch to be a heel. I think Charlotte makes a better one
anyway.
Also for tonight, AJ Styles explains
himself since Samoa Joe managed to get under his skin. The Miz and Daniel Bryan contemplate the
future. Jeff Hardy helps redirect
attention from Randy Orton’s allegations to their random feud. And The New Day have themselves a rematch with
the Bludgeon Brothers to somehow get us to accept these fellows as an
independent institution…still waiting for the Wyatt Family Reunion, I’m
afraid. It’s not all a bust, though. Let’s
see what they do with what they got going on.
Let us try to remain open. Funny
tweets will get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, don’t try too hard. Let them pick up some of the slack.
See You in a Bit,
