SmackDown Does What It Does and Finalizes Summer Slam Fallout...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!

So, there’s not much that has grabbed my attention this week, meaning there’s not much for me to talk about. It’s gonna be a short post so, let me get into it.

We have the Summer Slam Fallout Show before us and after seeing what Triple H did with RAW, I’m curious. I didn’t mind RAW at all. A lot of what H put into motion needed to be done to a certain degree. Before, the content was way too random and didn’t carry any continuity. I don’t mind if shows are stand-alones but that’s not exactly what was going on. It was just stuff slapped together with a vague train of thought. This week, RAW had a discernable beginning, middle and end. They also gave a lot of attention to the women and mid-card. The action was respectable. The only thing that was kinda lame was the Houston, TX crowd. They were pretty stereotypical and that is something WWE should consider.

Not everyone may be open to Triple H’s progressive approach so, WWE will have to take where the show is into account. I know they do that to an extent for cheap heat. Heels pick on the home team and whatnot but the content has to suit the crowd in general. In these…delineating times, it’s becoming clearer that certain markets are going to respond differently than others. The more forward-thinking content should be saved for the US Coasts and college towns. It would at least be acknowledged there and more likely to be appreciated. Stick to the old standards everywhere else. They just want the big scary wrestlers doing their thing and shit talk. Fair enough. If smaller guys are creative, they may be able to play a solid “David” to a “Goliath” but they should probably only do that with someone they want to push.

So, seeing how they’re in South Carolina for tonight’s SmackDown, I’m curious to see if they adapt the show to suit the town. Not that I’m all that familiar with South Carolina. All I know is that they’re in the South and that more or less is similar to Texas so, I expect a far more straightforward show. All that’s really advertised is that the Ladies are set to determine a #1 Contender for Liv Morgan now that Ronda Rousey is “suspended”. Here’s where it gets tricky. The Women’s Division is stellar but the Southern States tend to be old school. The women are better than just a pillow fighters. So, let’s see if Triple H tells them to go for it and brawl. We’ll have to wait and see on the rest of the content. Funny tweets and Likes get retweeted. Have fun out there but be fair. Going forward, we should have a lot less to complain about.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
