RAW Says Go Home! Clash at the Castle Is Going to Be a Long Trip...

 How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

 

Well, there isn’t a whole lot going on at the moment. Kinda vibing more on House of the Dragon at the moment but there’s always time for wrasslin’. Let’s see what’s going on.

 

The tidbit that did catch my attention comes courtesy of Drew McIntyre. He’s getting quite the push as we approach Clash at the Castle. He “bested” Brock Lesnar could he “best” Roman Reigns? Sure, but will that entertain us? It could and proof comes in McIntyre’s take on Karrion Kross’ current gimmick with the hourglass. McIntyre doesn’t get it. Hourglasses don’t go “Tick-Tock”… so what’s the point? I like the Straight-Man approach. This one just doesn’t get the “joke”. I was a little confused by it too mainly because the WWE Universe tends not to follow pro-wrestling methods.

 

I understand that Triple H wants to make this more about wrestling but the general appeal of WWE is its general appeal. I don’t mind a creative gimmick if it makes sense. I know Kross is going for this dark, ominous touch but I don’t know. The masses have a hard time going along with that sort of thing. It’s the whole suspension of disbelief thing. Is he even that tough or spooky? Not that I’m really asking but that sort of move prompts an audience to question. If he’s all big and bad, we shouldn’t be second guessing it, should we? That’s all I’m getting at. There are no murmurs of “ooohhh” and “ahhhh” it’s generally “Huh?” followed by a shrug. We’ll see what H and Kross do with it.

 

The other bit of news going around is that Naomi and Sasha Banks have been returned to the WWE roster. Fans are anticipating a return to TV soon. It could happen during one of the Go Home Shows, at Clash at the Castle or maybe during the Fallout shows. I’m sure they want it to be a surprise but there also has to be placement. We’ll keep our eyes on how H brings them back into the fold.

 

So, that brings us to tonight’s RAW. It’s the Go-Home Show so we get the Red Brand’s final offerings before going across the pond. To officiate, we have Kurt Angle stopping by for a visit. We should at least get ½ of the Women’s Tag Team Championship final on the books. The Miz will go bother Bobby Lashley and Sami Zayn will further delve into “Uce-dom” alongside The Usos. I suppose Roman Reigns is somewhere preparing 😉 Funny tweets and Likes get retweeted. Relax and take note of what H gives you to work with.
