RAW Looks for Something Combustible but Green for WrestleMania....

What’s Going On, Enthusiasts!

How’s everyone doing? So, we’ve got a few things to chat about this evening. Nothing too shocking but it’s enough to have a little conversation. You up for it? Let’s break these things down.

First item of WWE business comes courtesy of a semi-disgruntled Ronda Rousey. She’s now spilling all sorts of tea. She claims a slap she took from Stephanie McMahon back in 2018 caused a concussion and that she would have walked sooner if she didn’t get to work with Shayna Baszler. Apparently, Rousey has a long history of concussions and appears to have been susceptible during her stint with WWE. I can sympathize with this but it comes off like Rousey went into things a little naïve.

I’m no sports entertainer but I can see that there’s a lot of physicality in this genre of entertainment. It may be scripted but you take your hits. If Rousey wasn’t prepared for that, she should have taken another route. Maybe become a martial arts trainer or something. I’m not sure if she’s gonna pursue other promotions but given how she’s not always well-received, I don’t think anyone would be too upset if she decided to go onto the next. Just hope everyone learned something from all of this.

Let me just take a brief detour to the Realm of AEW as many have noticed that MJF has been removed from the active roster. The word is that he’s healing up from some injury and it’s taking its sweet time so, he’s out of commission yet, can’t help but notice how close we are to WrestleMania. Most believe MJF has re-signed with AEW but could he have snuck over to WWE under the guise of being wounded? Suppose we’ll see.

Back in the WWE Universe, there are a few eyes on the Indy Wildlands as would-be members of the Bloodline had some work to do with GCW (Game Changer Wrestling) in Detroit over the weekend. The likes of Jacob and Zilla Fatu continued the legacy and planted seeds for the future. We all know that this family runs deep. It seems only a matter of time before they make their way over. We’ll be watching.

Elsewhere, Seth Rollins proves to stay true to form as his actions came into question during a recent house show. While partnering with Cody Rhodes against the Bloodline in Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso, at one point Rollins had enough and left the heavy lifting to Rhodes. Is this a bit of foreshadowing for next weekend? Well, as much as Rollins may be on the Babyface side of things at present, I don’t think his character has changed much at all. Actions such as that tend to be par for the course and if I were Rhodes, I wouldn’t expect too much from him outside of the big matches on game day. We know that Rollins is always in business for himself first. He’ll stay onside as long as it serves his purpose, whatever that may be.

And so, that brings us to tonight’s RAW. Last week’s SmackDown brought matters to a steady simmer as Roman Reigns met with Rhodes with backup in tow. Naturally, Rhodes countered with Rollins in his corner. Tonight, Rhodes may say something about that but The Rock may cut in first. CM Punk is also gonna show up and tell us how he’ll participate from the WrestleMania sidelines. We’ll get a better look at these new Ladies as Ivy Nile sizes up Candice LaRae. Ricochet will get some screen time courtesy of JD McDonagh. Sami Zayn will see if he can get around Bronson Reed before facing GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship. And Shinsuke Nakamura will get Jey Uso nice and limber ahead of facing his brother next weekend.

We aren’t quite at the Go Home Week just yet but WWE has to lead up to it. We’ll see if what’s cooking actually smells good. It’s not gonna keep me from watching if it isn’t but it’s always nice to look forward to a “meal”, am I right? 😉 Unofficial watch party starts at 8pm PDT. Pick your platform and play along.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
