RAW Pitstops in England Before Heading to Clash in Paris...
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?
There are some rumblings
in the Wrestling World but it’s on the periphery. A lot of people have an opinion,
so I’ll go ahead and serve up mine. Ready? Here we go.
So, in the
wilds of the Independent Territories, it appears that the former UFC Champion, Quinton
“Rampage” Jackson has a son going by Raja Jackson who seems to be dipping his
toes into the pro-wrestling pool. The clip is making the rounds and in it you’ll
see the younger Jackson taking out another wrestler and then pummeling him.
Most are admonishing him profusely as the taken-out wrestler ended up knocked
out and in the hospital.
From what I
could see, it looked like Jackson may have been a little too excited at the beginning and
simply executed the Spinebuster wrong. The poor guy who took the hit did hit
his head hard on the mat. Yet, the “pummeling” looked like the usual stuff to me so…I’m
not sure how serious this actually is. Either the kid was just too hyped-up and
didn’t realize what he did or something else is going on with that kid.
Since the kid
is new to the game, I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Most in
the IWC seem to be coming down on the promotion for not providing more
oversight for this spot. The general consensus is that the spot was planned but
it got out of hand. Again, given how the blows seemed pulled, I’m not sure if
this is just a publicity stunt or the kid missed the point. However, given the
promotion is said to be under Rikishi’s leadership, there’s a lot of talk and word
is that whatever WWE affiliation that was lent has been withdrawn in light of
this incident. You got me, kids. I’m not sure what to think. We’ll see if we hear
more about it.
In the Realm of
AEW they had their Forbidden Door PPV in London and from what I could see, it didn’t
have much to do with the Future, which is fine. At this point, it shouldn’t. We
should all “forget about the Future” for now. Let it manifest π And so that
just leaves us the WWE Universe.
It’s Go-Home Week
for Clash in Paris so everyone relevant to the action is abroad at present. For
tonight’s recorded action we can expect Penta aka Lucha-Mitsu to take on
Kofi Kingston. Rhea Ripley will see if she can get her hands on Roxanne Perez.
The Ladies Senior Class Representative in Nikki Bella will see if Becky Lynch
has anything else to say before their match this weekend. And by the looks of
it, the evening will start with what Roman Reigns has to say. Hopefully Nike or
someone took pity and sent him some new shoes.
The unofficial
replay party should get going by about 8:30pm PDT or so. I don’t have that much
to do tonight so, let’s see if I can get myself together in decent time. For
all those who want to play along, you know where to find me.
See You in a
Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
