RAW Says We're Doing This - Night of Champions
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?
Welcome to Summer!
The Wrestling World is relatively quiet. There is always something going on but
as for anything worth a conversation I’m not seeing too much but I got a few
things we can chat about. It’s not much so, it shouldn’t take too long. Let me get
a bit of your attention for just a moment.
In the Realm of AEW
preparations are for Forbidden Door so you could say the Future has been put on
the backburner for the moment. It looks to me that PAC may be in the midst of getting
prepped for what to come but that could easily lead to a clash with Claudio
Castagnoli. He may just have some time off but he seems to be less prevalent as
of late. We’ll see if they work that into some drama.
In the meantime, PAC
kept ring ready with the help of a similarly built bloke by the name of Jay
Alexander on last week’s Collision. Jon Moxley sat in on Commentary. Mox
had nothing but praise for his fellow Riders of Death so, all is quiet on the western
front at present.
Someone who seems to
want a piece of the Future appears to be Bully Ray, however. He’s talking some
shit on social media, claiming he can serve Jon Moxley up an ass-whooping and
that his riding death is just some sort of wrestling wet dream he’s living out ‘cause
Tony Khan won’t say no. Them’s technically fighting words but I’m not sure it’s
worth a bout.
Marina Shafir already
chimed in that she’s game but we all know that Mox cares not for Twitter so, it’s
doubtful we’ll get a rebuttal. This is the kind of thing he turns his nose up
at so this beef will have to stew in its own juice. Ray seems to be trolling to
me so it’s unlikely this gets any real traction but there appears to be real
takers so, we’ll see if anything comes from the braggadocio.
In the WWE Universe,
focus is on Night of Champions. There’s tentative peace in Iran currently so
the coast seems clear. I don’t know if they can expect a good turn out but we’ll
see. This is the “Go Home” Week but we know no one is going home for the time
being. Tonight’s RAW took place in London so it’s already taped and
ready to replay.
When we get to it we
can expect, Dragon Lee to see what else Ethan Page has got to offer. Our King and
Queen of the Ring finalists will trade their final barbs before showtime on
Saturday. Chad Gable has something he has to say. And we’ll have some Tag Team action
as Bayley and Lyra Valkyria try to relieve Brie Bella and Paige of their Tag
Team Championships. And the Street Profits will see if The New Vision really
want to hold onto theirs.
We’ll get going
closer to 6pm PDT since the show is already done. I know I keep saying this is
the last one but I can’t help scheduling changes. That may be when I relent and
start early. Next week is another early start due to my schedule change but
July should be old school. Like I keep saying, get it while it’s early.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
