RAW Sticks to the Schedule for Now - Night of Champions

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Welcome to another week. There’s not too much going on so, this should be a relatively short post. I’ve been chatty of late because there appears to be subtle things going on but I can’t substantiate anything as of yet so remember my ramblings are all speculation. Let’s get into it, shall we?

Over in the Realm of AEW, I’d say the foundation for the Future is in the process of being laid. Yet, before that can be explored, this young faction called Shane Taylor Productions (STP) is starting a little shit with the Riders of Death. They faced them in a Trios Match and then jumped Wheeler Yuta backstage to call out Jon Moxley for the Cincinnati Dynamite set for this week. According to Taylor himself, Mox has gotten soft. Does he still have the cojones to honor a call-out? Mox’s rebuttal? You don’t want to find out.

Well, this could be a “death sentence” for STP given they’ll be on Mox’s home turf yet, that could very well be the point. If we are about to witness the Future take shape, I’m all for “setting Mox up” for it. Could there be a Heel conspiracy in the works? With Mox and the Riders in this gray Babyface space, he doesn’t have to just fall into bad habits. He can certainly be “triggered” into them. That’s kind of what I figured might happen. Rivals would gang up and simply draw him out into his “old ways” yet this time around, it’s to “deal with it once and for all”. Yet, as Mox alludes with Taylor, everyone may not know what they’re asking for.

It should take some twists and turns and shouldn’t be a straight “Get Rid of Mox” Campaign but that should certainly be an underlying motive for the likes of Don Callis and anyone else who has reason to hate Mox’s guts. There’s a lot of room to have fun with this and that essentially will be the key to making all this work. Let it get playfully ridiculous yet fully believable. Good luck to you guys!

In the WWE Universe, they’re still abroad for the most part and still aiming for Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. We’ll see how that holds up but, in the meantime, tonight’s RAW is already done and dusted and came to us from France. We can expect to see the new kids in Lyra Valkyria taking on Sol Ruca for the Intercontinental Championship. We have a good one to look forward to as Rey Mysterio checks out whether Penta (Lucha-Mitsu) should keep the IC Title. The Ladies will continue vying for the Queen of the Ring distinction. This time around it’s Alexa Bliss, Chelsea Green, Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan tossing hats in. Then the Men go for it as Je’Von Evans, Seth Rollins, Ricky Saints and Talla Tonga battle for King of the Ring. And Oba Femi will start off the festivities to basically make it clear this KOTR Tournament is just a formality as he is “destined” for the crown.

We’ll get started a little early since this is already done. As I said this should be one of the last early showings. I may do 1 more next week but after that, it’s back to West Coast Rules, 8pm PDT. Catch up the next day if you got work in the morning. I understand.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
